Soap, water, and a toothbrush.

Not one that you still use for your teeth, of course.

I sticky mine in the washer. Just cause it doesnt seem to hurt the shingaurds. But probabbly just soap and water and hand wash em will do the trick.

You can always leave them soaking over night in warm water with washing powder in. This will soak out a lot of the nasty stains and odours then you can sling them in the washing machine. You could then spray the back with something like frebreeze this will kill any nasty things when your leg sweats against it and hopefully keep them smelling a bit nicer!!

What kind are they? the slide down the sock ones or the ones with ankle guards? Iif they are ankle guards i shouldnt see a problem with putting them in washer.

I remember I used to play with this kid and his shin pads STANK and he wouldnt buy a new pair. It was disgusting!!

Thanks for the reply's. My guards are slip in. They are going in the washer right after I post this. I have another game this afternoon (pst) Hopefully they will be somewhat dry.

The washer is ok depending on the size and material of the guard. DO NOT put fiberglass (OSi) guards in the washing machine - they will turn soft and won't protect you from tall grass let alone a decent kick.
