In honor of Sharon Stone, her reputed 150+ IQ, and her continuing cluelessness in how to translate it to anything intelligent onscreen (Basic Instinct 2), I thought it would be fun to look at gorgeous/handsome celebrities who are actually packing something under the skull. The more unlikely the person, the better the post.

I'll start with my favorite on this topic, and maybe the most seemingly unlikely ......

Although it's not really verified, ..... .

Jayne Mansfield

I think a lot of those I.Q quotes and stuff like that are BS. I was seeing these documentary interview with some pornstar, Katie Morgan. Throughout the interview you could see she was an idiot. Then when they talk about being smart and about how people think she not smart but she actually has an I.Q in the hundres (she said the figure but I don't remember it). I thought that she was either lying or she banged the people who gave the test and she didn't actually take it. You actually hear it a lot about hot girls who said they have high !.Q but don't reflect it and since people aren't going to dig iup the results I'm pretty sure its BS a lot of the time. I like the people going to top colleges and programs more because it more verifiable since I've heard the high I.Q excuse a lot.

Now I know this can't be right. Judging from her acting and her overall behaviors in interviews, she comes off as a major bafoon.

Kate a Bafoon?

I think not. Jessica Simpson - Bafoon. Britney Spears - Has-Been Bafoon.

Kate Beckinsale - Quite charming lady.

A) That's absolutely correct. I knew this selection would be coming quick.
B) She can act, even though it's been a while since she's chosen to.
C) There's at least one other English brunette actress who qualifies on this topic.

Jodi Foster -

Fluent in French by age 14, she was valedictorian of her class at the Lycée Français (a French-speaking high school in Los Angeles) and went on to major in literature at Yale University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1985. She later received an honorary doctorate from Yale in 1997. While studying there, Jodie squeezed in appearances in films and television. Jodie is an instinctual performer who never took acting lessons. Nevertheless, she was the first actress to receive two Oscars before the age of 30.

Plus, I apologize for my small-mindedness, but her adoption of a comfortable-shoes lifestyle is a turnoff for me.

Mira Sorvino

from Wikipedia:

However, Sorvino did appear in theater productions while in high school (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_school) and later at Harvard University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvard_University), where she graduated magna cum laude in East Asian Studies. Her thesis was on anti-African sentiment in China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanjing_Anti-African_protests).

IIRC, she learned Mandarin.

All of which makes Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, with Sorvino and Kudrow, seem like that muchmore of a bizarre idea.

By the way, another vote for Foster. A very good looking woman inher youth, and still not bad for her age.

Brooke Shields: Princeton University from 1983 to 1987, graduating with a degree in French literature. Her senior thesis was titled The Initiation: From Innocence to Experience: The Pre-Adolescent/Adolescent Journey in the Films of Louis Malle, "Pretty Baby" and "Lacombe Lucien."

Not sure how a senior thesis regarding film was relevant to her major of literature, but whatever. Maybe they just let her slide through the four years for the prestige.

Natalie Portman: 4.0 GPA throughout her high school and college academic career. She reported on a talk show, "I'd rather be smart than be a movie star" and that her goal was to graduate from college even if it ruined her acting career. Portman reportedly had to miss the premiere of Star Wars: Episode I so she could study for her high school final exams.

Graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Pursued graduate studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Research assistant to Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz's Case For Israel. Research assistant to Dr. Stephen M. Kosslyn's psychology lab as well, and was a stand-in professor for the Terrorism and Counterterrorism course at Columbia University in early March of 2006.

In addition to her native Hebrew and English, Portman has studied and/or can speak (to some degree) French, Japanese, German, and a little Spanish. She is now learning to speak Arabic.

Co-authored two research papers published in professional scientific journals:

1998 high school paper on the "Enzymatic Production of Hydrogen" earned her a semi-finalist placement in the Intel Science Talent Search.
2002, contributed to a study on memory called Frontal Lobe Activation During Object Permanence during her psychology studies at Harvard.
