Well the US won tonight thanks to Bocengra (sp??) and Klien. Our fav ex player Mr. Lowe had the lone goal for the Regge Boys.

Goal for Klein! Great stuff, I hope he keeps this up and makes an impact with the national team in the upcoming months. Also for anyone that listened to the game could they fill me in as to whether Garcia played well or not? Thanks.

way to go Klien. Don't get to watch much soccer up here, but happy to hear that Klien scored what proved to be the game winner for the US tonight

Did anyone see the game? I watched about the first 20 minutes on the rebroadcast that was on Telemundo last night at 11:30. Kleins goal was Sweeet. Boca played a long ball over the top to Klein who was running full speed and one timed it after he let the ball bounce once. It was unstoppable and was one hell of a rocket.
Oh and Boca's header was just as sweet too for the first goal. He is really starting to stand out on the field for the US.

Wow... didn't see the game, but it appears the past 3 games (canada, argentina, jamaica) that Klein has been a huge scoring threat. I think from those perfomances, he's definately solidified a pretty permanent spot in the pool. Now just Garcia in there (how'd he play yesterday?) and it would be great seeing Wolff as a forward in Germany, Klein in the midfeld, and Garcia in the back. :)
I wish I could go back to my posts from 3 or so years ago trying to convince everyone in the nats forum that Klein is going to make an impact for the nats in a few years. Only about half of them believed me.
Oh yeah, ****************** Onandi!

MeHeeKo vs. Colombia almost put me to sleep, but I'm thankful I was able to stay up for the game. As a whole, the game wasn't all that great (thought it'd be golden if it was in WCQ), but at least the goals were good.
CK has done well in the past two friendlies, showing his stuff when given the chance by Il Bruce. At the very least, he's probably earned a call-up to the camp for Japan ... assuming it's still on. Garcia rebounded from a tepid performance against the Argies and was solid last night.
Other takes: Who the heck was the referee? I was having visions of Peter Prendergast ... Convey and DMB are really coming into their own for the full team ... Who was that dude wearing #9 for us? It certainly wasn't Clint Mathis ... I'd give Arena's experimental squad a passing grade so far. If we end up getting a qualifying draw like Aruba and the Bahamas, you could see a team similar to this one.

Not really the right forum for this, but I have to respectfully disagree with you about DMB... His defensive lapse led directly to the Argentine goal. He didn't have much help from the rest of the defense, but he watched the man dribble past him. I'm sure BA ripped him, or at least should have. We can't have those kind of mistakes if we hope to qualify for 2006...

For what it's worth department. More than one senior team regular give Klein huge props. Has a good team attitude and brings some good skills to the table.
