I replaced my white/gold mystics for some black/white F50+

I've looked about then pages in the adidas F50+ thread and i couldn't find anythin about their durability and how long they last , can someone tell me how they are?

And how to keep them clean ,and to treat the leather and mesh?

thanks in advance

I have the original F50 and mine are still going strong a year an a half later.

A soft tooth brush and some warm water will keep the mesh clean (and it'll work fine on the leather too). You could use some dubbin or a similar product to keep the leather soft, and some neutral (meaning transparent) shoe polish will help to keep the colour there for as long as possible.

The colour will start to fade from the toes of the boots (especially the one that you kick with most) but that is to be expected and it isn't that noticeable when you're wearing them.

I've heard of lots of people having holes in the toes of the boots but I've never seen that first hand and as I said, my old ones are still in decent condition (no signs of any holes or anything).

The toes on my f50+ got scuffed pretty badly. I think if you dotn use the orignal insoles that come with the f50's but just regualr soft ones they will last a MUCH longer time. I only played in them one season and they held up not sure how much longer they have.

I totally agree with the scuff part of that reply, because my toes are scuffed quite a lot. But they are still looking as good as ever apart from that, and i have had mine for about 6 and a half months now - therre durable enough to arrant a purchase i feel.

As for cleaning, i use a very soft brush on the material/mesh part of the boot, and a hard brissled brush to clean the underside, with a bit of polish for the leather part. they come up very well this way. Obviously just warm water to wash them in, no washing powder or anything.

hope this helps.

Thanks for your help :)

And does someone know , how to prevent the holes in the front ?

In the adidas F50+ thread someone said putting vaseline on them , prevent the holes in the front.

And shall i put white leather cream on them , so that they stay white ?

my white/black f50s broke, the toe started to rip a while ago then this weekend the sole just ripped off. Can I send them back?
