Why don't the Fire put a star above the crest on the jersey signifying the winning of the MLS Cup in '98? Don't the Quakes have one?

MLS is talking about putting on the star for the previous year's winner, so the Fire would have had it only for '99. Doesn't DC only have 2 stars?

Nevermind, the new jersey has 3 above the crest.
So, good question. I guess the answer would be that Nike sucks.

That's up to you. I'm a Crest guy. Aquafresh is a hassle. You have to check you lips to make sure there isnt toothpaste on them. ************ that.

Nike declined to put a star above our badge after we won MLS Cup. I think the excuse was it was too much trouble or something. They don't seem to have any problem putting them on SJ's jerseys though...

I just don't get it.
They make Brazil's jerseys, they have 4 stars, soon to be 5. ************ Nike. It's time for some new kits.

Uh... why do people care?
It seems every month or so people whine that we dont have a star.Just becuase some of the insecure wc champs and the serie a champs (their stars are for multiple league titles) weaar stars doesnt mean we have to.No sense crowding our strip with it.we know we won a title.

Personally I just prefer a patch (Lo Scudetto) over "hardware." I like the thought of incorporating the "trophy" into the kit for the entire season that they're defending champs. It gives the opponents something to look at and remember before the game. It's also a good motivator for your own team.
Who cares about a piece of metal in a closet somewhere?

D.C. United has 3 above there crest
K.C. Wizards has 1 above there crest
S.J. Earthquakes has 1 above there crest (Nike)
That's all the MLS Champions expect one (FIRE), what's the deal. Nike sucks the big one they didn't release the white jersey's to year 5, they hardly have any kind of merchadise for the team. I think it's time Nike improve a whole lot, or we should get a different supplier.

How is it that clothing manufacturers get to decide the apparence of the jersey? Why not present them with a design and say 'Here is our uniform. Make it'? If they dont want to Im sure there are competant local businesses who would love the business. Why is design contractualy bargained away?
