View Full Version : Transfer Your Tickets to a BS Memeber

I have noticed that several people on the board have mentioned selling back their tickets. Why not give the transfer process a shot before selling them back to FIFA? Support the Big Soccer community first!
I know its a somewhat complicated process, but why not try? If you don't want a see (see other thread for that), let's do what we can to keep scalping to a minimum by transfering tickets here for face value (plus FIFA transfer fee). If you have tickets that you planned to sell back, post them here for a chance to transfer first. Let's assume face value
I'll get the ball rolling:
Its not England-Sweeden or Argentina-Holland, but I have 2 Cat. 1 Trinidad v. Paraguay tickets I would like to transfer to a BS Member at face value. PM if interested.

Why not keep it at what you have to offer for face value instead of your wishlist. I think pretty much everyone here wants to see England, Portugal, US, Brazil, or Holland games...that's pretty much a given, but it's also pretty much a given that no one is going to probably transfer any of these tickets at face value (even though I have done that for some US tickets to a couple of people). The ticket swap thread is already full of unreasonable expectations, so I'd suggest keeping those expectations out of at least one thread that the title gives away its (completely reasonable) expectations.

I think the thought is a good one, but unfortunately, there's people like myself that have been in every lottery, draw, waiting list since last February & finally got desperate enough to buy through a broker. I have one ticket available for two U.S. games because we have a family member that is no longer making the trip with us. The sad news, I spent over $300 PER ticket. If I try to list that here, I'd get smacked. I can't do the transfer thing, cuz I'll lose a boatload of money.
I tried listing it on ebay & somebody turned me in because I can't ship the item within 30 days of sale. EVERY person on ebay is selling World Cup tickets illegally, in a sense. I'd just like to get my money back & get the ticket into the hands of a real fan. Any suggestions?

I dont think you can legally transfer the ticket. Have you thought about the supermarket boards? Make an ad and post it in a few places. I think it will be easier to speak and negotiate face to face - helps with the trust factor and see if they are willing to spend the money - esp since its over face value.
My travel arrangements recently changed - i had para tt but I resold it thru fifa now i might be in a different city and that venue will be a lot closer... I have 2x iran angola cat 3 and 2x ukr tun cat 1, I also may be able to get 2x cat 1 ukr saudi via a trade with one of my afformentioned games ... I would like to trade either of the 3 for a pair of tix to the paraguay TT game. Any interested parties?

If you follow the pre-sale conditions in eBay's help section you should be fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm fairly new here, so where do I find the supermarket boards? Thanks!

No I meant your local supermarket... the bulletins that have apts for rent and maids for hire etc... not in cyberspace - because if you post on any board for $300 ticket you will be targeted by posters and be called a scalper and probably get your post deleted.

I'm laughing hysterically at my own ignorance here! There's "boards" for everything, so I thought there was a special board here for selling items! Thanks for the laugh, even at my own expense!

Paypal doesn't allow "pre-sale" items though. You account could be limited by them.

You are absolutely right and I should have mentioned that as well.

Then how can over 200 World Cup tickets be listed on ebay? They're ALL presale. I appreciate all your suggestions! I won't fret over this. I'll give the ticket away before I rip somebody off (I better put the "do not disturb" sign on my door after that offer).:D

Ebay seems to be arbitrary on which auctions they take down. If you follow these rules you should be fine: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/pre-sale.html
And make sure you don't offer Paypal as a payment choice.

I know what you're saying - but watch the newer auctions. Less and less will be payable over paypal for the next few weeks. Once tickets are shipped, it will be wide open with tickets not being pre-sale anymore.

I think MissouriRob has a good idea with this, although the posts have strayed. I will stray further, because I have nothing to offer as I've not succeeded in getting tickets in any Phase I - IV including the craziness since Feb 15. So if there are folks interested in selling, please post here.
Also, I would like to know if anyone has successfully, and legally transferred tickets using the portal. I'm talking about transfers to other Bigsoccer members, friends, or anyone else that is outside the "rules and conditions" specified on the FIFA Ticketshop. Those rules are very strict. If you were successful, can you mention how what you wrote as a reason for the transfer. Did they simply accept that reasons outside their own rules if you had a good explanation? Or are they strictly applying their rules?

Sorry, no selling allowed on BS. We've had problems with scalpers and people getting ripped off.
In any case, if you want to transfer your tickets, see this thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=321336), because I'm closing this one.
