So for anyone who saw my wife at the Club Quake meeting on Sunday, well, she looks different now.
Peter Mikolaj Reeves was born on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 10:48 AM at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City. He weighed 8 lbs 9 oz, and measured 20 1/4 inches. His mother, Celina Mikolajczak is doing fine as she recovers from the C-section. His father is learning how to change diapers.
I'd post pictures but I don't have them up on a web site yet. So I have attempted to attach to this post a picture of the happy family.
I would have titled this "New Quake Fan" but, you know, no more Quakes. :( So instead, I hope to drag Peter out to a Ruckus game or two in the next few months.

Awww... Congrats!
What language is Peter's middle name? And what does Mikolaj mean?

Congratulations, Bill !!!!!!!!!!!!
Erin: the middle name sounds like the Polish equivalent of "Michael", but I am not 100% sure on that.

I see. I was thinking it might be close to Michael, but I also noticed it is part of Celina's name. I'm always interested in how people get their names. Everyone always seems to have an interesting story. :)

As Bill is obviously too busy now to post here (and this is quite understandable ;) ), I make a guess that Celina's last name is similar to common American last names that end with -son, or Russian last names that end with -ov, i.e. a first name + appropriate suffix.

So I'm back online and damn, I'm tired.
Mikolaj is Polish for Nicholas. The Polish name for Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas) includes the name Mikolaj. Celina's family name is similar to "Nicholson" or something like that -- I haven't picked up enough Polish to know how the conjugation works or if it is common with other Polish names.

Congratulations to the whole family (and thanks for the picture). New baby diapers are sweet--just wait till he starts eating solids and then you can complain.

I know a tiny bit about Polish names (mostly given names, I'm still learning about the surname thing)...enough to know that Piotr is the Polish version of Peter.
