Didn't Wash Post say they couldn't agree on a date? Did that change?
The club has tentative plans to play an exhibition July 19 at RFK Stadium against an international opponent to be determined. World power FC Barcelona had expressed interest in playing United in August at FedEx Field, but a deal couldn't be reached.

This may be one of those weird wording things. Steve may have been told "we were unable to reach an agreement" as a form of "we were unable to reach an agreement so far, but we're still talking" It bears watching. My personal "Is this going to happen?" meter is about 30% right now.

"azulgranas players will dispute diverse friendly with local equipment."
I hope we can get this thing settled. I'd like to see us dispute a diverse friendly with Barcelona. The game with Chelsea last year was awesome. This would be even better.

May not be DCU choice. If Barcelona won't play at RFK, but will play at Fedex.
Question becomes, does DCU play at Fedex or not at all.
Barcelona may not want to risk injury to their players playing on a baseball field.

I thought FedEx was a good venue last year. I wouldn't want to go there for a whole season, but the odd match against a global power is fine by me.

Yes - FedEx almost made me feel sorry for Redskins fans who pay so much for so little

I hate nearly everything about that place. But if that's where United is playing a match, I'll be there.
