If they're not getting paid, what else are you gonna do? They shouldn't be stiffing referee's for their salaries. I'm amazed they haven't paid them what they're owed, in a big league like that.

Absolutely shameful on the part of the league. The players make more in a week than the refs do in an entire season. I realize that the money comes from different sources, but still...

Sounds like it is more like they haven't received the 20% increase only. Don't kid yourself about what these guys are being paid. This is a full time job for them. They are being paid well.

It sounds like it's not done yet, but things are hopeful that this weekend's games will be played and the referees get their money.

This is a full time job for them. They are being paid well.
I guess that only goes to show "full time" doesn't make you good. This season Spanish league refs as a group haven't even been as good as MLS refs as a group from last season. Maybe if they're not being paid, they're not motivated to do a proper job.
