Totti's new boots for the World Cup

Here are pics of the new Diadora Maximus, released on May 1st. Totti will wear the blue pair when he plays for Italy and the white pair for when he plays with Roma.

He will play in the World Cup, his recovery is going excellent. Other than that, I really like what Diadora did.

I gotta say I like them so far... I'll have to see them in person to make a judgement on them. The thing that bothers me is that when they make a boot for a player, like this one, and make it for his club/country colours, I think it might alienate some buyers if they care that it matches their own uniforms. I'm just saying that a lot of people care about that kind of stuff. personally I think the white/red/orange ones look amazing, enough to consider picking up a pair....

I think Diadora has always made quality boots, they are very underrated IMO. I had a pair of Diadora Leggera's about 2 years ago and they were excellent.

Cassano -- can you confirm the release date? May 1st is 5 weeks away and I haven't seen a sniff of these elsewhere (albeit bootnr.com which has a June 1st release). The brochure that you posted says FALL 2006. I think they look good looking forward to giving them a run. Thanks for the info!

Yeah -I had Leggera as well! They were super light and teh kangaroo leather was sweet. Much better than the Baggio's I got last year! They wear a major dissapointment :(

In the latest issue of FourFourTwo there is a Diadora ad with Roy Keane holding a pair of shoes that are white with green....I think they were the maximus but cannot be 100% certain. They didn't look as good as the Totti colorway to me.

I'm not sure how much I like the studs on these boots. they look so strange.

In the latest issue of FourFourTwo there is a Diadora ad with Roy Keane holding a pair of shoes that are white with green....I think they were the maximus but cannot be 100% certain. They didn't look as good as the Totti colorway to me.

I saw that ad too and I think they are the maximus if i remember correctly

I like the blue ones alot, but I would really like to see the inside of the boots aswell.
If they are well priced, not too heavy, and if someone can tell me how the size compares to the Predators in the near future, then I will really take a look into buying a pair.

BTW, Does any1 know how the current Tottis compare in size to the Preds? If I am an 8UK in Preds, what would I be in Tottis? Cheers

I'd get a half size smaller -- atleast. Diadoras run large for some reason. I get mine atleaset a half size smaller -- sometimes even a full size. The leatehr stretches alot as well. My Baggios and Leggeras stretched more than my copas.

yeah, my cousin had the white ones. he got em cheap too, ~$40. that was 3-4 years ago though.
