I just saw that this weekend. I thought it was fantastic.

If you're convinced that W is the smartest president of all time, you probably hated this movie. But if you're concerned about many of the things that are going on in this country right now, this movie was great.

It pushed every hot button available, it was emotional, thought-provoking, it had a couple good fight scenes, and Natalie Portman doesn't suck.

I liked it well enough. Not brilliant, but a cool flick.

I gave it an indifferent shrug. It entertained me, but there was no great connection. There are a lot of catchphrases that are going to get bandied about and a bunch of idiots will wear those Guy Fawkes masks next Halloween, but I don't think there was really much depth to this.

The part of the movie that got me the most animated was when V and Evey were dancing to a song done by Antony & the Johnsons. Not sure what that says about me or the movie for that matter.

It was pretty good. 3 out of 4 stars for me.

There are plenty of technical and story-related criticisms that can be made, but for me they all come secondary to the fact that for a large part of the film I was watching with an unconscious grin on my face (and not just because of Natalie Portman). There aren't very many films I've been able to say that about. The finale is absolutely glorious.

Hugely enjoyable.

I loved it obviously (avatar). It really speaks about what's going on. Interestingly, the day after the Wife and I saw it the Daily Show ran a clip of that day's "news" by the 24 stations that all turned out to be false and were basically just used to scare their audiences.

Look, it's Red Dawn for the left.

I am a conservative. You know what my reaction was?

Is this the best you've got?

The same 48 totalitarian cliches older than the underwear that George Orwell was buried in? Gee, a lecherous clerical figure. What a fresh piece of cinema that is.

Shouldn't this offend me? Shouldn't Iwalk outof the theater raving and screaming, instead of laughing? Doesn't it disappoint you all that I didn't?

And hey, could you please disrupt the flow of the story one more time with a dull, digressive flashback montage? The first 14 times weren't enough.

The song that they use in the movie is actually a cover by Cat Power, I thought it was pretty strange to include this in the movie cause it didn't seem to fit too well. Overall I liked the movie it was good for watching on a friday night and I was entertained but I thought it could have been done a lot better and it seemed to be moving a little fast at times, oh well maybe thats just me.

I agree. The idea behind the movie was good, it was just made by the wrong people.

I found some of the dialogue to be excruciating. Visually it was stunning in many parts. I felt an indescribable sense of glee when the Houses of Parliament went up in their blaze of glory. That was probably my favorite moment.

This movie stunk. It was, quite plainly, boring. There was minimal suspense, minimal emotional involvement with the characters, and maximum cliche.

The "political message" was poorly developed, poorly thought out and shallow.

Natalie Portman was good. In fact, the script was not worthy of the cast on the whole.

The worst crime a movie can commit is to be boring.

I was disappointed. I don't know that I can say that I was bored, but I agree that the political message was shallow and the dialogue was overwrought and cliched.

But damn, Natalie Portman is gorgeous.

I agree with your assessment. It surely wasn't boring, though, as you said.
