I don't uinderstand your question.

The portal is for giving tickets back at face value if you don't want them or buying returned tickets at face value + 15 Euros, if they are available.

If someone gives back some England tickets and you are there at the right time, you can buy them.

As for transfers, if you know someone with England tickets, tell them that you want to transfer them to your name via the portal. Then you pay a fee and come up with an excuse for why the other person is changing the names on the ticket(s), and FIFA puts your name on the ticket(s) and mails them to you instead.

I beleive that is the basic idea. I'm sure someone else could add more specific details :)

Has anyone had success with transferring tickets? What excuse did you guys use? What happens if FIFA rejects your excuse?

Yes, you can transfer those 3 tickets to your friend. Go to fifaworldcup.com and then click on tickets and then ticketshop. Enter the ticket shop and look for the "my profile" button on the left hand side.

Click on it and login with your username password. Go to your order history and you will see those your tickets. Click the button below the tickets and you will be taken to a page where you can resell the tickets back to FIFA or transfer them. Check the transfer box for the first ticket and click next. Explain your reasoning and agree to all the terms. This is where you will fill out you friends information. Then submit it.

You have to do this for ALL 3 TICKETs seperately. That's all! :)

I would assume people with VISA "problems" are a sure bet for a transfer. If FIFA rejects your excuse (which I don't think they will unless you are blatantly lying), then the tickets go back to the original person.

Some good insight there, Deutsche. Thanks. If you happen to have any further insight, I have a few more questions below for you or anyone else who has transferred so far. Thanks,

Andrew

1) Can one only do this for tickets bought through FIFA's own lottery process, or can one transfer tickets received other ways (i.e. through the US Soccer application process, or if you had a friend at a sponsor who managed to buy tickets)?
2) What are the mechanics of the transfer? Does it go through immediately after you post your and the other party's info? Or (as it sounds) must it first be reviewed and approved by FIFA? Assuming this is so, do they then send you an approve or deny email, I suppose?
3) If your transfer is rejected, both parties get their original tickets back, right? One party will not wind up with both pairs of tickets, I hope?
4) Is it possible to transfer disparate #s of tickets (say 4 for 3, or 2 for 1), or must it be like for like?
5)If a transfer does go through, will the tickets then be mailed to the address of their new "owner"?
6) Any other observations on the process from you/others who've gone through it already.

Thanks again,

Andrew

1. I'm going to PM this answer to you because FIFA is reading ;)

2. You choose the ticket you are going to transfer and gree to FIFA's terms. Then you input the information of the person your are transferring the ticket to (name, address, etc). Then you select a reason (there are a few options already ready to click) or you can choose "other" and explain yourself in the portion below it. Then you submit it and wait for FIFA to get back to you with an approval. I beleive this is by e-mail :)

3. The original owner will get the tickets back if they reject you, yes

4. I don't understand what you are asking here

5. Yes

6. Keep reading this thread as we get closer to the WC. I beleive that it will be no problem to transfer tickets. Why? FIFA makes MORE money by transferring ticket because they charge the buyer 15 EUROS

Thanks, Deutsche, and I look forward to your PM on #1. Re: question #4, I was wondering whether it's possible to transfer odd numbers of tickets on the site (say 4 tix to game A for 3 tix to game B, or 1 tix to game C for 2 tix to game D), or whether one could only trade 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3, etc.?

Thanks again.

I think you're confused. The portal allows you to transfer tickets from one name to another. One by one.

In order to get resale tickets off of the site, you just have to be there at the right time and click faster then anyone else.

FIFA doesn't allow you to trade tickets for other tickets. They allow you to trade them back in to FIFA for face value Then FIFA just posts them on the ticket site with a black [R] for others to click and buy if they are quick enough.

PM sent ;)

If they know you are American, then you do not need a visa, so that excuse will NEVER work.

Im planning to transfer 2 tickets to friends. Since we have to transfer tickets one by one do you think it's possible that FIFA approves one transfer but not the other (Eventhough I use the same explanation)?

So, if one is going to trade tickets with someone, doesn't this become problematic? If I clam I cannot attend the tourney due to a hardship, for example, in order to trade my tickets away -- how is it justified that I am the recipient for other tickets being traded to me? Moreover, what happens if FIFA agrees to my request to transfer my tickets but then declines my trading partners request . . . ???

They transferred my ticket in less then 24h with out any problem. But it looks like you can transfer ticket only once.

Did you get confirmation email? Or you log into account to see it?
Thank you.

FYI - ALL tickets are transferred with 24 hrs but FIFA may later come back to ask for supporting documents. If you are unable to provide the documentation they may cancel the transfer. Not sure how much of that is blowing smoke and how much they may actually care.

No, I never got email from fifa. But on my account it says that it has been transferred. Well I had valid reason to transfer my guest ticket , so Im not affraid;)
I dont think that they will care all that much.

Huh--I thought that the person picking up the tickets had to pay the fee, and the transferer did not have to pay anything? Is FIFA double charging for this?

With all the fees flying around for transferring tickets, does anyone really think FIFA will say no to one?

If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know:

I have 4 tickets that I am the official cusomer and want to transfer or resell mine. Can I do this without losing the other 3 tickets for my friends?

yes you can. In your account with FIFA, it gives you the choice of which of your tickets you want to transfer/resale. so just log in to your account and go from there.
