Right, but their chances of calling for national (senior) duties are slim imo!

I am big fan of Thurk, but I think he might be too similar to Neuville

If that's true, I'd select Thurk in a second as we need players with pace, dribbling skills, and who play with a sense of purpose. I agree with many of the posters on this site with regards to Neuville. He'd brings pace and skills to this team and would be an invaluable second-half substitute.

Neuville strikes me as the kind of guy who rises to the occasion. In the last World Cup, he was outstanding in the final against Brazil; our best player. He doesn't play at a consistent level in the Bundesliga because he's not motivated. It's obvious that his A-game is as good as any German striker. He's definitely worth having on the National team.

Neuville is a player we can count on when the chips are down.

Neuville is in any case the better choice than Hanke. The latter is imo a mediocre BL striker and simply not good enough for the nt. Schalke didn't let him go for nothing.

I don't see why everyone selects Podolski. Someone who doesn't always make the starting side for the last side in the BL doesn't deserve to start on the NT. And Metzelder, what qualifies him as a starter, he's regularly benched at Dortmund...

I have a feeling that the form of the guys in the NT has not been too consistent when they were in international matches.

That makes selection of players more difficult.

Btw, there is going to be additional friendlies b4 the match against Colombia.

I understand that more than anyone else here :D

But i just generally consider Podolski fairly overrated, though he is good for his age.

If not,
You left out Frings. And your defense is very weak. Why have you chosen Huth over both Metzelder and Mertesacker? Benny Lauth for starting striker? There are so many in the list before him.

You left out Frings. And your defense is very weak. Why have you chosen Huth over both Metzelder and Mertesacker? Benny Lauth for starting striker? There are so many in the list before him.

Dont listen to this idiot Vertical Horizon....he is not a german fan. He hates the german nt. He got booted off the soccer24-7 board recently and has come here. He is a racist as well.....just trying to stir things up. His posts are quite idiotic as you can see.
