They're to add more gore and nudity? It's about snakes on a plane; how much can there be?

This is insane. What am I missing? I feel like I'm in a bad dream, like I just found out everyone around me is an alien. This looks like just another silly action flick. Excitment I can understand, but not the OMG-my-head-explodes-with-anticipation babble.
Only thing I can find is a choppy trailer. Samuel L. cocks a pistol and says "I'm tired of these snakes!" Brilliant. Hunting snakes with a pistol is an even better idea on a passenger plane. And why are the snakes acting like paranahs in a fish bowl, attacking people unprovoked in swarms?

LOL, A take on the film saying it's an analogy to WWII:rolleyes:
How does Snakes on a Plane relate to this? The snakes in Snakes on a Plane are a symbol for the Japanese’s evil use of aviation to destroy Pearl Harbor. In essence, this plane in the film, will be filled with Snakes. Without the Snakes the plane is just a harmless tool, but with snakes on it becomes a dangerous weapon. So you might say the snakes represent the possibility of turning aviation into a dangerous weapon. The snakes represent that possibility, they represent the Japanese during WWII. Once the “devils” aka Snakes infest the plane, it becomes a weapon that can harm.
…
Sam Jackson represents the isolationist America. In the beginning of the film he won’t be a loud mouth, he won’t make conversation with the people around him, he’ll sit in his seat like a sleeping giant. But when those snakes attack, when that Snake Pearl Harbor happens, the sleeping giant will awake. Like he says in the trailer, “That’s it, I’ve had it with these snakes.”. Clearly writing inspired by FDR’s speech on Dec. 8th.

I thought it would be too outlandish to suspect a conspiracy of people letting on like this is the sh!t, but wiki says
Snakes on a Plane has quickly become an Internet meme (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_meme) after its announcement on Something Awful (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something_Awful), Slashdot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashdot), 4chan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4chan), and other Internet portals. The phrase is often used on Internet forums as a phrase to indicate that a given topic is nonsensical. With creative uses of capital letters and bold or italic text, the title can be manipulated to reflect surprise, horror, or absurdity, among other things. The meme is often interspersed with images of Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Mace Windu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mace_Windu) and quoting lines from both the Star Wars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars) series and Pulp Fiction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulp_Fiction) (both starring or prominently featuring Jackson). The slang form "SoaP" is used in place of "shit happens" or "oh well, what'cha gonna do?".
A certain amount of publicity has also been generated throughout the Internet community by way of a months-long running inside joke between the personalities of popular CNet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNet) podcast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast) Buzz Out Loud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buzz_Out_Loud) as well as amateur-produced viral video (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_video) that has appeared on Google (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google) Video and YouTube (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube).

You can just image a typical scene of the movie. Samuel L Jackson has to navigate the plane with his feet while trying to fend off some snakes and send out an SOS.
- You're breaking up, I, I can't hear you...
- *mumble* snakes.... *mumble* *argh* snakes..... plane...
- What? What are you saying?
- Snakes.... *argh* *shouts of struggle* LOTS OF THEM *argh* PLANE
- What? Speak up, the signal is getting weak
- WE GOTTA MUTHA********ING SNAKES ON THE PLANE *arrrrrgggghhhhh*
- WHAT?!? Holy shit.
- *signal cuts out*
- Susan - get me the president.
