OK, Seargeant is in now, and if you're interested in an exciting finish, my match may go that way. The crew is attempting to mount an improbable comeback. Actually, I should say that Seargeant is attempting to mount an improbable comeback, as he singlehandedly put the total back within reach with fifteen runs in the 44th over.

match id???

ours is (209205)

oops... not going to be much of a finish now... 28 runs in 2 overs

we're going to win comfortably... sorry Dan... this was just a game someone had to lose, but its a shame though... helluva match for the first 80 overs...

Ooh, Christopher's getting tagged. Yeah, this one might not even make 50 overs now.

Still, what a gunfight.

EDIT - Congrats! Damn, this division's totally up for grabs now.

We need another big one from Seargeant... 8.5 over the last two is still doable.

Nothing doing... he fell off the pace a bit after the huge over against Speight. Monster performance from Sewell for the other side, he might have singlehandedly preserved the win for Cow Shot.

how did it go?

we won it in 47.2

interesting end to each innings...

Serpents: 90 runs in last 10 overs
Connection: 79 runs in last 7.2

ratings from the match...

winningconnection Martinique Serpents
Top Order: remarkable sensational
Middle Order: proficient respectable
Lower Order: woeful woeful
Seam Bowling: superb superb
Spin Bowling: quality respectable
Fielding: competent mediocre

MOTM: Owens

Owens finished with 173 from 126 balls

that's only his 4th century this season in 13 innings though... which is disapointing. That's his 2nd highest score and certainly his best performance.

Best news? The gates brought in $210,390 my profit this week is 208K (no I'm not solvent without gates, I sold a player this week)

I love it how there was only one maiden that entire slugfest.

yeah... there's no way either of us loses another match so its going to come down to NRR... I've got the early edge, but who knows if that will last. I may even hint in the sledging that if some teams pull off great performances they'll end up facing not just one of us next season, but BOTH of us. Its in their best interest to roll over ;-p

we try our best :D lol, 663 runs in the match... 360 coming from my best bat and his best bat combined...

Most of my team did nothing yesterday--my first three batsmen scored 8, 4, and 2 respectively--but my fourth batsman scored 171, which was almost enough to win it by himself.

Beat a bot in 16.5 overs! Bowled them out in 13 and put up 35 in 3.5. :D
That did wonders for my NRR. went from 16.something to 24.50 :D.

Lost again in the league and lost today in our little cup.

Staring relegation in the face now -- forcing me to GFI against a much better opponent next week and hoping my fate somehow turns around.

My strong/proficient batsman with proficient stamina got less than 5 runs again today :(

NRR is tricky, because you have one date with a bot left, while I have two. Also...those Bosstones look like they'll give us trouble. I get them next week, with low freaking fitness. You get them at their house in the last game of the season, so they'll probably GFI.

The good news is, this is the last year that four bots will be in the Premier - which means the lucky division winners who don't promote get a nice payoff at the gate - shame it'll be at the Cylons' park rather than ours, but a gift qualification match is nothing to sneeze at.

Owens has been dropped from the U-19 starting line up... he's absolute rubbish for them too...

Bosstones won't give me any trouble... I'll just play them on either Dusty or Flat... if I bat first on a flat pitch I might get 450 :D
