To me, he is the best to fit this job when Sven leaves after the world cup.
he is hungry as a manager and has what it takes, and he is English, england needs to get rid of these bloody foreign coaches for now and get a local.

I think that we have the players, the only problem appears to be motivating these players. I reckon the only type of Manager who can motivate these players to play with true English pride and with real fight is someone who knows how it feel to be English. I'm not saying a foreigner wouldn't do a good job but...
An Englishman for England!

The problem with Sven isn't that he's Swedish, it's that he's not a very good manager, and never has been.
I'll tell you right now, you would be better off with a Fabio Capello then with a Sam Allardyce any day of the bloody week!

just as long as it isn't some average and boring option like Curbishley. But it probably will be.

With a new England manager being sought an epidemtic of myopia combined with an outbreak of amnesia is sweeping the nation

I am at a loss to understand the fasination with Alladyce...I could maybe understand it were the World Cup or Euro's occasionally played in the north of England in the dead of winter....if memory serves this has not and never will be the case. Bolton's "tactics" simply would not come close to working against International class competition and would be a throw back to the Turnip years...
if the F.A. interview Big Sam the first thing they should ask is "How would you like an England team managed by you to play ?) and if the answer is "I'd get all these big un's and thump everything long, play for second balls and knock downs as well as corners and throw-ins deep in their end o' the park"....they should thank him for his time and wish him continued success with Bolton Wanderers....while showing him the nearest door...if he moves any further up t' ladder he will reach his "Peter Principle"....and that right quick...

it's cos he wears that headset thingy, which makes him a modern manager with modern methods.

first off lets agree that sven did do a pretty decent job during his time at lazio. anyway this does not always translate into a sucessful job in managing a national side. However i feel that a foreigner could do a good a job as any englishman. A manager such as Guus Hiddink has let lesser footballing nations to success and also ejoyed a prosperous term at PSV. Although i think this is unlikely to happen i would like to see Stuart Pearce given the job as the future manager of England. He has the personality and determination to inspire a sense of national pride which the side have lacked during the reign of sven

Claiming a goverment consparicy as the reason for your sons death probably wasn't the smartest move. Why are rich people so stupid, I'm glad I am dirt poor.

hmmmm, we could use a few novel reasons for losing, rather than the crappy old "blame the referee" excuse......
al fayed for england manager!

agreed totally....until you mentioned "Physco" as an England manager....he has ALL the attributes of Kevin Keegan....including the "out of his depth" bit at this level...
