A warm tummy feeling thread. Of the goals YOU'VE scored in your life, in any league or even just a pickup game, which one brings back the most smiles for you to think about?

It's a tie. As a sweeper in college I only scored one goal in my entire career. Semifinals against our conference nemisis. They had the "player of the year" for all four years. When we played them, I followed him around ALL game long. We went to penalty kicks and I put in the winning penalty kick.
The other goal was off of a bicycle kick. I stepped into the wall as a decoy. My teammate flicked the ball over the wall. I took two steps backwards and biked it into the upper corner of goal.
Mmmm, love the warm fuzzy feeling of remember those goals.

A year ago when I was a senior in high school, I scored a last minute goal two games in a row, in the last two games of the season. One was a left footed volley from inside the 18 off a cross after being tied 1-1. The next game was a last minute PK in regular time that I slotted away to my right. 4 for 4 on PKs that season. Haha, I won "Most Inspirational Player" award that year.
I'll never forget the assist I had for my College team last season, set up the go ahead goal in a very important season game.

Don't score much, but I remember one I absolutely loved. This was at a tournament organized by my workplace, five or six years ago. We were down by a couple of goals, I was kind of pissed off. I was by the center circle, my left back (not the most technically gifted guy, but a great guy) seemed lost, I ran left diagonally, pointing for him to pass it to the line; he does, I feel a defender behind me so as I get to the ball I turn towards our goal, then step on it with my right foot, back heeled it forward and turn the other way, towards the opposite goal, leaving him behind (it came out nice), then one left foot touch, I had room and just felt like shooting and I launch a total rocket (maybe 25-30 yds) with my left foot (I'm mostly right-footed), to the opposite side of the goal, just under the crossbar. The ball went through the keeper's hands.

I found the back of the net on a free kick in from just inside half field, it was a line drive shot, not a lob. It must have carried a little farther in the wind and suprised the keeper. :D
and 5th grade rec league I was keeper in a penalty shootout and I think i saved all five kicks and of course i stroked home the first PK for our side.

Best goal I've scored or most memorable would have to be in a tournament in College vs Texas Tech. Moving across and outside the top of the box, I smoked a shot that actually hit the cross bar and came right back to me in which I one timed it back and hit it upper 90. Team mates and goalie were like "WTF was that!?!".
I'd say another one was the same season after half time, keeper was putting his gloves on, ref blew the whistle, and I chipped him from the half line on the kick off. He wound up tangled in the back of the net like a fish...gloves were everywhere...looked like a yard sale. Chip keepers often in indoor, but outdoor is the greatest, and most funny.

my best goal was on an indoor team
our keeper passed it to me (left midfielder) looked up took 4 steps from half line. and bent it like beckham perfect into the top left corner. the keeper was frozen stiff. The ironic thing is he got keeper of the year for the all the leagues put together. right after it went in I stood there and everyone was like "WTF just happened!!" people from the other team came up to shake my hand. we lost 6-1, the good thing is this girl baked me cupcakes for scoring a golazo.

College. Playing our rivals with their frats screaming at us during thier own tournament. Beat two defenders and rifled a shot into the bottom corner to win the tourney. Shut up all those frat boys...

My favorite without a doubt was in my youth soccer days. I diddnt play as I got older, instead favoring lacrosse and football, but I had some serious fun in those youth leagues. I was playing center forward, one of my teammates gave me a perfect through ball, the only thing seperating me from goal was a nerdy kid with glasses. I cut inside, drop the hammer, and of course hit the kid right in the face, shattering his glasses. The ball bounced back to me for the easiest goal in my short soccer career.

i have a knack for putting balls into corners with the outside of my boot. i sometimes shoot perfectly unsavable shots, dipping into the corner with just a couple of inches away from the posts.

Okay, my favorite goals I ever scored. This one is sad because it was nine or ten years a ago, but I used to play keeper so it was rare that I got to play on the field. My coach pulled me out of goal with like twenty minutes left in a game (I think we were winning 4 or 5- nil). And he stuck me in the midfield. Now, I do not know how many of you have had this experience, but when a keeper gets on the field, watch out because it is like watching Taz (that cartoon character). Within 30 sec of getting on the field one of my teammates earned a free kick and all my teammates told me to take it. I smashed the ball from about 23 yards out, top right corner of the PK box to the lower left corner of the goal about two inches off the ground the whole way. Ten seconds later I got a yellow card and my coach pulled me off the field. Not bad for one minute of play, a yellow card and a goal.
My other favorite is almost similar. I was 17 years old and playing in my last club game with my team of 5 years. My coach had found a keeper to replace me for the next year, so at half time he came in to play and I was told to go on the field. I was running around all Taz like, putting tackles on defenders who were trying to clear the ball. Well, it turns out we got a free kick in a real similar spot as to the goal above and again my teammates were like, take the kick. I smashed it, same situation, only this time it was about three feet off the ground and destroyed far post side netting. I pulled the LuaLua celebration flipping my way to the corner of the field. Not a bad way to end the club career.

That's gotta be in college. Playing as a center forward, heading in the tying goal late in the 2nd half coming from a 4-0 down at half-time. Cann't beat that feeling.

My favourite goal:
I was playing CF and it was a 3 v 2 situation, with the supposedly better player in the middle, and Iīm on the far right. the cross comes in over all the players in the middle and I rifle in the volley, goes about an inch from the 90, the goalie couldnīt believe it, and neither could anyone else :D
And twice Iīve scored after a run on the flank, curved in near post... wonderful goals, I donīt score em like that any more, but I score more often.

when i was keeper in indoor, we were losing 5-2 or something, i see the keeper off his line so i throw it at the goal, it deflected off another player and went in!!!

4 years ago in a tournament, the city I was playing for had an intense hatred w/ the team we were playing against. Me being from a different city had no idea or any bad feelings for them. That all changed when I went in and got wacked every time the ball came near me. I quickly developed a hatred for them. We were tied 1-1 for most of the game and in the last 5 minutes I scored a left footed volley from about 45 yds out. I've yet to score a goal like that since.

No-brainer for me. Towards the end of an adult-league game, we have a corner. I'm far post, about 12 yards out. I don't know what came over me, but instinctively I went for the diving header. I reached the ball as it was just about 4 feet above the ground. It screamed over some defender's head, glances off the bottom of the crossbar, and in. We lost 2-1, though.
After the game, the other team's players, and even the REF, congratulated me.

In soccer class here at UF, fairly decent players, but only a couple guys (including me, ahem, ;) ) that I would call really good. Whatever, no one would have stopped this shot.
So, I'm at half field, on the left side, and pull a little lean to the right, then I meg the guy in front of me with the outside of my left foot. As I run to get catch up with the ball, another defender closes in on me. I get to the ball first, do a left footed step over, and cut to the right across the defender, who procedes to fall down while trying to a "split-tackle". Embarrasing for him. In one motion, I cut, lookup, wind up, and blast a shot from 35 yards out into the right upper 90. Seriously, a perfect shot. No dip, no curve, just a sold, straight line form the ground to the net.
