Good article about the DCU-Charleston history.

Also included in the article is an interesting typo:

On trial
While Allen Hopkins and Ryan McIntosh remain on trial with United, Ryan Russel's stint with the Black-and-Red has ended without him being offered a contract. McIntosh replaced Troy Perkins in the 54th minute of last night's contest, keeping Houston at bay to preserve the 1-1 draw.

While I know that the author meant Allen Handy, do we really think that Allen Hopkins could be pried away from kissing Donovan's butt enough to leave his cushy FSC/LA Galaxy TV jobs to trial with another MLS team?

With Rimando's injury, McIntosh seems likely to get that #28 roster spot assuming that he shows Nowak anything in training.

Among those is the friendly rivalry and kinship with the first division side Charleston Battery and their fans.

A couple of quesitons: Did Charleston get promoted? or is MLS now the equivalent of Premier League?
