I thought the joke went, if you're Russian going into the bathroom and you're American coming out of the bathroom, what are you while you're IN the bathroom?
Maybe there's a differen't punchline for your version.

What international incidents occured when the waiter tripped?

And then the joke was taken to Bigsoccer where it was pointed out that Greece deserved to fall since they never should have won Eurocup 2004 in the first place due to their boring style of play.
