Any and all fans are needed to help with this.
We are going to need a few volunteers for each home game to be part of the human tunnel. The people will hold the player flags that Jeff is currently making. We will need to know ahead of time who will be doing it, and they will need to report to the stadium by 30 minutes prior to kickoff. They will hold up the banners of the starting line up for that day as the players run onto the field. This should be an honor, and I hope people treat it that way. My goal is to have a signup sheet at each tailgate and the first few get to go do this each week.
To make this process work we need people to help EVERY game. Please don't let the flag efforts go to waste. This could be a very cool thing, but we need to make it happen.
Who's gonna help?!

How heavy are they? I am sure my two girls would love to do this.
If they allow kids to be part of this and you think they can manage it, count Michaela and Chloe in. If they are gonna be too heavy they could probably share a banner.

Paige was able to hold one of the banners by herself. They are not very heavy. I tried to keep them as light as possible, and still be strong enough, with the thought of kids holding them.
Paige and Claudia would most likely want too hold banners also.

I'm in. If there were a RAYBOULD flag, Gordon would be ecstatic to hold it.

He's got to start first. We will be making one though by the time this is done.

Or you can hold it and Chloe kicks you in the shin ;)

I expect my son Brandon would be interested in this. I wouldn't mind doing it once myself.

No offense to the kids, but we might need parental supervision with them. Howie is the nervous type, so he needs all the comfort we can give him that the people doing this will be 1) sober enough to not cause problems and 2) old enough to not cause problems. Without stepping on toes, some of the us (kids AND adults) aren't the best volunteers for this. ;)
How this will work is that I'll get an email every Friday before a home game with a number of volunteers that we will need to provide. The team is VERY sensative about this situation in that they want every starter represented. So if we can't provide them with enough bodies they will scrap the idea and not have the banners on the field. That would not be a very good situation after all of the money and hard work that will go into these.
Jeff, how many can you guarantee by opening day?

I think they're going to put an age restriction of 12 and up to hold one by yourself. Below that they're going to require a parent or adult as well I think.

There was also some discussion about needing 4 people to wave larger (8' x 10' I believe) flags before and during the game. I'm pretty sure I spaced this part of the meeting, but I seem to recall one of the qualifications was that you had to be able to not only hold up the flag and waive it, but run with it in a circuit around the field before the game.
Ben/Sam/Kevin correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we need to populate this group as well? This seems to me to be an area where the more 14-18 year olds we can get, the better the chance they'll make it around the field without collapsing in an exhausted blue-and-white heap.

HAHAHAHAHA not this 14-18 year old. Ok, I want to do it, but I don't know if I'm really more Qualified.
