The bug has kicked in and I'm really enjoying it. Got Livi promoted, somehow scraped through the season unbeaten in the league with far too many boring draws than I care to mention, and won the Challenge Cup. The defense was a rock all season long. Same with the midfield but my forward line chose when to perform and were either invisible or one fire. There was no middle ground. Snodgrass was great in terms of creativity but went 25 hours without scoring thanks to the woodwork, officials, hero keepers and Saha 'finishing'. Still, a major overhaul was made during the summer but I still need some defensive cover. Liam Fox was stolen by Hearts and the chairman didn't even give me a choice in the matter. Bastard. Two games into the new season with one draw and a win. If I get some defenders in then I can hopefully aim for the top six. My squad is good and full of offensive options but I still need those defenders! I also need to change the tactics at some point to incoroporate my better players. Fingers crossed.
Back to the last season, I asked the board for a feeder team in December and picked Queens Park (I get Hampden!). Decided I could use them to blood some youngsters and get the Scottish promotion challenge achievement (get a club from Third Division to SPL). Unfortunately I failed to notice they had used all of their domestic loan allocation on shit players (only two were good and their deals ran out when the window opened). Luckily I convinced them to sign up permanently and got a bit of experience for the back, before I limped through to the end of the season. At least that was the plan but my forward trio clicked and fired me to first, winning the league with a game to spare. Joy. Now I have some money to spend and some Livi players on loan but it looks like I'm stuck with what I currently have for the season ahead.
How are you doing and what's your current XI?

Quickly before I'm off to work, I'll post a lengthier reply later. Just finished my second season and am in the stages of hopfully strengthening the squad.
Won the first division the first season, finished 7th in the SPL last year. Tom Heaton was class both seasons, defense was fairly strong all year, mostly due to him and Ryan Shawcross who was on loan from United. Strikers are shit, Snodgrass looks class when he is playing but was out hurt for most of the year. More later...

Teso which Xbox 360 games do you recommend?
Joel, I've played Fifa. Its decent, but it still lacking on the simple stuff. For instance, Im chasing down a player, and my other teammates no matter how close they are, will never put a foot in, or try and press the ball. It happens all over the pitch. They just watch the player go by them. Even when I try and call the second defender, he waits for the player to go by him before he starts to press.
Apart from this, the game is decent. Too bad they only have six leagues, and management mode. The rest are crap modes. Im only using this until winning eleven comes out though.
But 60 bucks for this? EA are... well EA. I should have expected this.
Any other games?

What type of games do you like?
I've currently got FM07, PES6, GOW, COD3, GRAW, TDU, PDZ, DOA4 and Table Tennis. Lost somewhere in the Xmas post is Hitman Blood Money, Top Spin 2 and Dead Rising. Vegas is next in line. Quite a bit list for next year as well. What do you usually play?

What about fishing?
Pick up the new Winning Eleven game (the online cheats and missing features are annoying but you will get it relatively cheap and it's still superior to the latest FIFA con). Get one of Gears of War, Call of Duty 3 or Vegas (or all three). Finally get any other sports title you like and sit back until next year, when the second generation 'big hitters' are all going to be rolled out.

Thanks for that
Also are there any key accesories? Like the fan?

We didn't bother with the fan. The only accessory we have is the play and charge Kit but we're looking to get the wireless headset and the wireless wheel.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is absolutely unreal. I don't really play RPGs but this one is on another level. I give it my highest recommendation. Rent it at least if you're not sure.
Here's my Livi squad with my first choice 11 from last season, my first in the SPL
---------------------------Tom Heaton-----------------------
Danny Simpson--Ryan Shawcross(loan)--Emanuel Dorado--Lee Naylor(loan)
Mike Muyampa-----Liam Fox--Florent N'Galula-----Rob van Boekel
----------------Febien Brandy(loan)--Snodgrass-----------------
Wight
Mackay
Adamson
Smylie
Stanger
Sparv
Makela
Finished 7th, hoping for a decent transfer kitty but have been disapointed to be given just 200k. Tried to get Shawcross on loan again but he turned me down. Bastard. Brandy will be back as will Naylor. Signed Nacho Novo on a free to add a little extra up top. Have a couple decent prospects at striker but they are at least a year away from Senior squad rotation, imo. Had big Dunc on the sqaud but he just retired. N'galula has attracted (deservedly) some interest from a few decent clubs, mostly in Belgium and he is now unsettled. Have offered a contract to free agent Seyi Olifanji...(sp) the Nigerian DM. If I sign him N'galula will likely be out the door as I can fetch over $1M for him. That's it so far, still in July, hoping to nick a center back or two on loan as with Shawcross gone the middle is looking dire. Dorado is past it and the others (Mackay, Mitchell) just haven't impressed. Since I don't have the update, United still is a feeder club for Livi, so I have been able to use that setup to my advantage. If nothing else trying to stabilize from last year and keep building for the future.

In the last four days I have order 5 games but total cost was only £80 ($157). :D

I'm steering well clear of that for now. It would own my life.

So you managed to convince 5 Man Utd players to jump on board? Lucky bastard. As I'm only running the Scottish leagues (with the default small database) I'm stuck with hardly any talent to pick up from Man Utd. Got none last season and only one on loan this season. Teso sad. Good to see a few current Livi players still kicking around. I was forced to use my knowledge of the Scottish leagues to pick up talent from within, so my side has a distinctly more Livi and Scottish spin on it.
Season 06/07 - First Division
----------- Snodgrass/Riordan - Dorrans/McPake/Fleck (loan)
---------------------- Bingham/Smylie
Makel ------------------------------------------ Walker
----------------------- Fox/Mensing
Malone/Dixon - Mitchell/Wilkie - MacKay/Dorado - Thomson (loan)
---------------------- McGregor/Fox (loan)
I was given £100k to spend. First of all I tried to ship out deadwood like Tweed/Hamill/Craig/Hislop, unsuccessfully. Knowing the side in real life meant I immediately knew what we needed, mainly a decent keeper, a left-back and some cover for other areas. Delighted to get McGregor in from Rangers, with Fox on loan from Celtic as cover, Malone/Dixon to compete for the left-back spot and Wilkie on a free as defensive cover. Mensing was brought in as my utility player (he could play in central defense, right-back, defensive midfield and right-midfield) and filled in when injuries or suspensions hit. Bingham is an ex-Livi legend and was available for £1k from Gretna. He might be old but he still has the moves and gave me an option on the left-wing and behind the front two. Riordan was released by Celtic midway through the season and I eventually convinced him to join. Fleck was brought in as cover from Rangers on loan.
The defense is what won me the title. McGregor was in inspired form all season and Mitchell/MacKay were rocks. Fox/Walker were outstanding in midfield but unfortunately that meant I lost Fox to a large bid from Hearts at the end of the season and my chairman accepted it. Luckily I slapped a huge asking price on Walker and managed to get him to stay. The front trio of Bingham/Snodgrass/Dorrans were peerless at that level when on-form and McPake provided his fair share of goals when given a chance.
Season 07/08 - SPL
------- Snodgrass/Naismith - Dorrans/McPake/Riordan
-------------------- Fernandez/Bingham
Makel/Adam (loan)----------------------------- Walker
------------------ Cregg/McDonald
Malone/Dixon - Mitchell/Wilkie - MacKay/Mensing - Thomson
------------------- McGregor/Amos (loan)
With the sale of Fox and boost from SPL revenue I somehow got nearly £1m to spend. I got Amos in on loan as cover, Thomson on a permanent deal, signed Cregg/McDonald for the midfield to replace Fox, Adam on loan to play instead of an aging Makel, Fernandez (another Livi legend) to be the mid-term replacement for an aging Bingham and Naismith because it was too good an opportunity to miss. Currently tying to get Black to bolsten the central midfield, looking at Cathcart/McGregor/Broadfoot to add defensive cover and Martin/Stokes because both were released by Man Utd and Arsenal respectively. Aside from that I bolstered the youth with a few signing and sent them straight out to Queens Park.
Finished 7th, hoping for a decent transfer kitty but have been disapointed to be given just 200k. Tried to get Shawcross on loan again but he turned me down. Bastard. Brandy will be back as will Naylor. Signed Nacho Novo on a free to add a little extra up top. I hope I don't get landed with a pitiful amount next season, as I am aiming for a European stint and if things work out a title push. I'm surprised to read that Mackay, Mitchell haven't cut it as they have been rocks thus far but I suppose time will tell if they can make the step up to SPL competition. Supposedly the 360 version has the latest update installed and the arragement with Man Utd is still there, so I'm happy. Good luck and keep us informed. I think when the window shuts I'll take a break from Livi and start a new game for a while.
POST IN PROGRESS - COMPUTER KEEPS CRASHING! - it might have take two days and countless attempts but post complete.

Yeah, Im definately going to get the NBA 2k7 game as well as Gears of War. Im not sure, but I heard that the game is a bit short. As in, if you can get the hang of the game, you'd finish it in no time. Is that true?
As much as I love RPG's, in this moment in time, I dont think it would do me good to get into one of those. Funny thing is, school is out at the moment.

GOW is a great game but the gaming community is split into three factions over it.
(1) Those that say it mainly about great graphics but linear and repetitive gameplay. What FPS isn't repetitive or a bit linear? Get gun, shoot enemy, repeat while moving through enviroment. At least next-gen has added cover to the mix and GOW the chainsaw bayonet and curb stomp. ;)
(2) Those that love the game and especially the multiplayer but find the single player boring. Fair enough but I've had a lot of enjoyment out of it and they mix things up a bit with vehicles and environments. If having a story and cinematic feel makes something boring then these people need to get a life. I'll certainly play it again. In fact, I'm going to finish Act 5 on Insane when I finish what I'm doing online. I wonder whether the people who don't like it like any single player campaign on any game?
(3) People like me who love both single/multiplayer (the people to listen to). :D

I'm on the first mission, the guy just broke me out, and I went for training, then I came up against these three monsters, and it took me atleast 15 deaths to figure out how to get past them. When I finally did, my nephew screwed with my 360. I just turned it off, and will save it for later tonight. `+
