Yeah, I'm jealous all you comcasties that are lucky enough to have it. They're nazi's out here I tell you. DirectTV just isn't as good... but with the ability to watch Barca et al all the time, it's tempting.

Yeah, as the ads at the Wachovia Center just 30 miles up the road say:
"Welcome to Comcast Country."
In fact, I just walked past the construction site of the new corporate HQ when I was out drinking on St. Paddy's day.

Direct TV is the best
1. Fox Soccer Channel
2. GolTV in English 24 hours a day
3. Setanta pub channel for on 12 dollars a month.
4. EPL season pass for a couple of hundred that allows you to have every Saturday and Sunday PPV match live (most of the good matches) without having to worry about ordering
5. FA Cup and the Final match on PPV
6. League Cup finals on PPV, League cup semis and lower rounds on Setanta
7. Euro 2004 tournament pass, every game live
8. all four major domestic leagues on offer as well as Scotland.
Two years ago I'm watching crappy internet feeds of Bayern/Arsenal in the CL, this season, Every single Arsenal match has been on Live TV for me to watch. Including relatively difficult to expect, both match with FC Thun in the CL. The only Arsenal match that I have not got to watch from the comforts of my couch was the Sparta match a highbury that I got to watch from a less comfortable seat, though with a much better view, in the lower West Stand.
Direct TV is the way to go for footie, if its European football you're after

Geez Billy, why don't you just start an "I Love Direct TV!" thread. ;) :D

I would love Direct TV EXCEPT they don't carry the good International channels for French and especially Italian football that Dish Network provides. RAI airs 4 to five Serie A matches per weekend and most of the NT matches while TV5 airs a Ligue 1 match and the home matches of Les bleus and both have great football review shows.
Plus Dish Network's International channels is FAR superior than Direct tv's. W/ Dish I was able to get the Arabic pack that aired every single CAN (African Cup of Nations) match from the group stage to the final (if you care for it) and they have a Portuguese channel that has regular coverage of the Portugal league and airs Portugal NTs as well.
ESPN Deportes has a few International friendlies on those matchdays and airs 1 Dutch league match per weekend as well.
What I do wonder is what ESPN Deportes has in terms of CL football that Setanta does not? So far they've aired every single match 1 live of course and the others on same day delay.

Personally as far as cable/direct tv goes, i'm quite happy with the FSC coverage. whenever there's a game on PPV it's my cue to go to Lucky Bar....and that's always a good thing. :D

Direct TV is the best
1. Fox Soccer Channel
Got it on local Comcast
2. GolTV in English 24 hours a daygot it.
3. Setanta pub channel for on 12 dollars a month.don't got it but probably wouldn't buy it anyway or only during certain months
4. EPL season pass for a couple of hundred that allows you to have every Saturday and Sunday PPV match live (most of the good matches) without having to worry about orderingThis is the one that I wish Comcast had here. Not too big a deal this season as Arsenal only had a few PPV games and I don't mind catching the Chelsea/ManU/etc ones on delay
5. FA Cup and the Final match on PPVgot it.
6. League Cup finals on PPV, League cup semis and lower rounds on Setantadon't have it. I'd like the final PPV option but Setanta is too expensive for what it offers since I have little interest in Scotland or Germany. However, I would like its WCQ and Coke league games but not for about the same price as FSC, Goltv, FSE, Colombia, TV Chile, and Canal 52 combined.
7. Euro 2004 tournament pass, every game liveGot it after I fought with the local Comcast
8. all four major domestic leagues on offer as well as Scotland.Got those except Scotland but don't really care much about missing out on Scotland.
I also get Telemundo, Univision, Telefutura, FSE (mostly for Copa Libertadores and other S.American tournaments like Copa America, under-20s,etc. plus some Argentina games), 1 additional Italian match on local PBS (MHz-56), TV Colombia, TV Chile, and Canal 52. They also show games on some of the other spanish channels from time to time so I've been able to catch WCQ, friendlies, and stuff like Real Madrid B team games. We also had a channel from Spain that had a fair amount but they replaced it with a channel from S.America or Mexico.
The only channels I don't get that I'd like the chance to get are ESPN Deportes (Dutch and some CL), Galavision, TyC Sports USA (Argentina), TV Globo Internacional (Brazil), TV5 Monde Etats-Unis (France) and also Setanta USA which I'd probably add during WCQ months only.
I also subscribe the UEFA's online CL video. Its cheap, I get to see every match, and I like the archives.

What the hell...? Arsenal are releasing a TV station abroad before they do in England? Thats a bit unfair from my point of view.

I only get FSC and PPV on our crappy Time-Warner cable. I get a good deal though. I need to check into the Direct TV costs though.
