Ah common! So i bought a pair of v1, so that some weird v5 came out a couple of months later ! This sucks i want the new ones :( lol,, the zhero gravitys are better :rolleyes:

What is the diffrence between the V-1 & the V-5 ? and when is the release day for sale in the U.S. ? Do you guys know if PUMA will come out with new colors for the V-Konstruct ? Thanks for the info.

Don't stress, the v5.06 is just a fabric upper that will retail for $40 in the US.

The top photo is a multi stud hard ground model, but that outsole will not be offered in the US this year.

About $135, and the v1.06 upper is a special PU material (Schoeller ConTec)that is leather like in feel but is super lightweight and durable. Also the v1.06 has a full length carbon-fiber plate (carbon-fiber is very expensive) that also makes the boot very light and distributes the stud pressure very evenly and is very flexible. 6.8 oz making it the lightest boot ever.

v5.06 are available in Mid May. Black v1.06 available first of May.

Current colors in the v-Konstrukt, vaporous gray(off white)/black and Limoges(which is a dark royal)/wht/silver These are out 4-1-06.

The new v-Konstrukt for Fall is black iris (which is a dark navy)/vaporous gray/pale gold. This color will be out 6-1-06.

And I would think Eurosport may have additional colors as they always do.

The V5s r not that great IMO. I had a feel of them in a store, they felt no lighter than normal boots and the heel counter is just stitched on. The upper just feels like some cloth material and is not that supple.

The v5.06 is only supposed to be a cosmetic take down/look-a-like of the other "v" boots.

v1.06 $175
v3.05 $80
v5.06 $40 (at $40 this is a low end boot made to look like the v1 only)

I just visit soccer.com and seen the new V.Konstruct and the competition boot V.Kat which looks exactly the same as the V.Konstruct the only diffrent is the leather material. On the Konstructs I believe is Kangaroo and on the V.Kats is full grain leather. I can't decide what to get either the V-1 or the V-Konstruckt or the V-kat. Any suggestions ? I have my doubts on the durability of the V-1 06..

The durability of the v-Konstrukt compared to the v1 will be quite different. The whole concept of the v1 is lightweight performance so you will give up some durability. The v-Konstrukt concept is protection and will be a more durable boot. The leather is one of the key differences between the v-Kat and v-Konstrukt but also the heel is different. The heel in the v-Konstrukt is Puma duo-cell which is their full functioning polyurethane cushioning system and the v-Kat heel has what Puma calls idcell which is a low density foam for cushioning.

To compare the new Puma style to Adi or Nike it would be:

v1.06 --- Vapor
v3.06 --- Talaria

v-Konstrukt --- Predator Absolute
v-Kat --- Predator Absolion
