I have just been told that the company which runs the Austria Pre-Season tour HAS received a application from two Premiership teams for the use of the pre-season training camps. Those teams are Arsenal and Fulham.
Now this doesn't mean it will go ahead as obviously it depends on commitments in Europe, but the application is in which means that Arsenal are certainly looking at it. No dates as of yet as this obviously depends on the European Qualification.
There is a rumour as well that Dennis Bergkamps testimonial will be on the 22nd July. This is only a rumour at present.

Any rumour's involving if it's AG or highbury?
I suppose it would have to be highbury at that point.

Cool. Going from memory, I remember hearing that they had to do two test's of having 20,000 people enter and exit, then 40,000 enter and exit. And that these tests would correspond with footie exhibitions of some sort.
I assume the testimonial would be after those meaning that AG will be possibly be ready by early July? Based on the latest pics, I'm getting a little worried.

Arrrggh. If the testimonial is on July 22nd, that sucks. It sucks because he's my favorite player, the reason I started following Arsenal. It sucks because July 22nd is my birthday - what better way to celebrate, no? BUT it REALLY sucks because I'm having ankle surgery and won't be able to fly post-op.
Damn the man. First the chance to play 5v5 at Highbury, then this.

At Cov's new stadium they had to do some 'pre-testing' but at least 1 didn't involve an actual game it was just a training session, they needed 12,000 to allow 20,000 for the next time...

Meanwhile, Arsenal will restrict capacity to 40,000 for the first game at the Emirates Stadium - Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp's testimonial against an Ajax all-star side on July 22.

Really 40,000? Poor judgement from Arsenal. 60,000 would want to say goodbye atleast and only giving him a 40,000 testimonial is a bit rude to him. They could give him 60,000 but they only give him 40,000.... thats out of order from Arsenal.
