Need help - First West Ham match [Archive]

Hi all,

I'm buying tickets for my first visit to Upton Park next Sunday vs. Charlton. Any suggestions on where this first-timer should sit? Unless I can convince a buddy to stay an extra night in London I'll probably be on my own...

I think that the tickets that reach general sale are usually in the Bobby Moore Upper. I have sat in the last row and it was still a great view.

I am starting to feel something of an affiliation with Barcelona. Recent events seem to be binding our two clubs together.

The only trouble is it gives other fans scope to call me a glory hunter, something which, being a West Ham fan, I am not used to!!! :o

Ha ha - Get used to it Chris, all West Ham fans are going to be labelled Glory Hunters as we win the FA Cup and rampage through Europe next season leaving humbled opponents lying in our wake.

Yeah, I'm a Barca fan at heart, but I love this West Ham team. This is my second season following them. The more I watch the more I like them. Can't wait for the FA Cup semis...

When I made my pilgrimage I was in the lower part of the Dr. Martens stand kind of near the corner. The view wasn't great but you get so sucked into the atomosphere that what's happening on the pitch kind of becomes secondary.

Crackin good site! I love how they called the Spurs house "Shite Hart Lane"...great stuff!
