"The 'Other Football' Draws Record Flock of U.S. Fans"

The article obviously discusses the surge of U.S. fans interested in the World Cup this year, and then general World Cup travel stories and numbers about the increased demand this year (hotels, flights, etc.).

Cites two names as U.S. supporters...Sebastian Sanchez and Carole Williams.
Lurking on here?

I'm not sure if the above link will work; sorry, read the hard copy. Cover page of 'personal journal'

I think you have to pay to view the WSJ online; except for their editorial/propaganda page.

I am glad you're an enthusiast of the paper like me ; )

Seriously though, you don't have to pay to view the articles from the previous two weeks, I am just inept at posting links. The FT on the other hand, you have to pay for most articles

I think this one should work, if anyone is interested: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB114290392143603622.html?mod=pj_travel_hs_coll_left

It's interesting to read that US fans have requested more team-specific tickets thatn any other country and the USSF sold out their allotment in one day when they used to not sell it out at all. Plus, the article says the waiting list is full.

I knew about the problems with getting tickets through the USSF but I didn't realize how much harder it have grown from prior World Cups.

Plus, the article says the waiting list is full.

I think a waiting list with one name on it would be considered "full" on these boards! :D
