Move, that sux maaan! Hopefully they will give you a full refund, or maybe exchange them for another pair or another boot you are interested in. I went to my local football shop and saw the F5o+ TUnits for the first time today, and I thought about if the studs would ever break while playing, not by inserting them into the chassis.

Doesn't this defeat the purpose of the TUNE part of tunit, save your money and buy the +f30.6 instead...I've been debating the tunits, and to be honest the more time I think about it, the less I'm attracted to them. Now I hear this, and more pairs of the +f30.6 will suffice...:D

^ ^ ^ That was my plan actually, I just was disappointed in adidas marketing these things like crazy then we hear this. I have always been a fan of blades and of Adidas' split sole. So did we figure out the only real difference on the upper was a little bit of velcro? If so, and if these adidas fit me properly I might be purchasing my first adidas pair in a very long time (as long as I can remember.)

Not to be a dick but it's not adidas' fault you over tightened them, right? Others on this and other foums have had no problems with the studs.

This is the point. Never heard about problem with the tunit... and if there's a problem, u get u'r money back... if it wasn't your fault... I had many of predators and 2 pair of them broke really fast... ok, shit, but I got new ones instead so everything's ok... Mistakes shouldn't happen... but if they happen, it's no problem if i get a new pair instead.

I'm going to check out the tunits tomorrow hopefully, and I'll be able to comment on the differences. As of now the only difference I can see is the velcro, and honestly, it's not that big of a deal.

Getting the studs in is difficult, especially with the cheap little plastic wrench. But if you're like me and live in a place where you play on fieldturf one day, two inches of snow the the next, followed by a week of deep mud, which becomes hard as a rock the next week, then after a light rain becomes nice for a few days, then back to rock, then another game on turf, and another snowstorm..., these shoes are perfect. I bought these because I've had great luck with Adidas, I loved my f50's and the TUNIT part was very apealing to me. I don't care about changing colors or Chassis, but I love being able to use the same shoes in all conditions.

If I were a pro or got my shoes for free, and I played for a team with a perfect grass pitch all the time, I would have bought the Puma v.1's or whatever they're called. But those look like they'll only last a week and I need to get a lot of use out my one pair, so the tunits were perfect.

The stud key (wrench) is plastic. But its strong Plastic.

I was worried about this problem. Sometimes if you dont get the stud in correctly the stud will still go around as if its screwing into the boot and can wreck the chasis. I notcied this the very first time i was trying to get the studs into my boot.

I think the tunit concept is a good idea. You just have to get used to putting the studs in. Another thing i've found is that some studs wont sit right in certain holes so i always switch them around. I think that Adidas could have colour coded the studs a bit as to where they should go.

For anyone who is tuning their boots you just have to make sure that the plastic cup is in correctly. If its not then this can prevent the stud from screwing down fully. It might cause the stud to go in on an angle.

I'm sorry thats happened to your boots. It might have just been one of those unlucky things. You could always ask soccer.com if anyone else has sent theirs back with a similar problem? if they say no, then i say exchange.

I've tuned my boots loads since i have had them. And the only problems i have had is when the chasis is going into a boot for the first time. Its very hard to line the holes up. Buttttt i've found once you've worn the boot its easy to get the chasis in and out of different boots. Its only when the upper is brand new its a bit of hard work.

Well did you screw them in properly?

I've changed my studs and it was something i was worried about but you just have to make sure you put them in correctly.

This is basic "learn how to screw in a bolt shit". If you take your time and don't reef them in there too tight, you should have no problems.

I don't mean to single you out Apple. This is directed at the OP. Just happened to be your post.
