How does this affect CLEVELAND?
From the Beacon Journal: http://www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/sports/other_sports/14145617.htm
It seems that the definite trend is to put the soccer franchises in the fast growing 'burbs like Northfield/Macedonia.

"Some public money might be needed to fund the deal"
Always the potential kiss of death.:D
Cleveland's got investors ready to go. Browns Stadium (or Byers) as a temp site until an SSS gets built. Sounds like the new president is just underlining Philly on his wish list. Cleveland still sounds more like the real thing. Thanks for sharing the article, Mark. Philadelphia's just another one of those markets you'd think pro soccer should have always been, but have never attracted major-league investment/ownership.
Yes, the burbs is where you find the interest, at least. Cleveland's no different. Parma, Strongsville, Brunswick, Medina, Wadsworth (all the way down I-71). And out I-480 & I-90 to the west as well.

Gotta go with Joe on this one.
"We'd like to build a stadium if we can find an owner and a developer and get the government to kick in too" is just about exactly what every town says. Doesn't mean there's a team going in tomorrow.
This whole Glassboro deal turns out to have been nothing - and I mean nothing - more than "Here's a vacant piece of dirt where it would be great if MLS had a team"
Not on damned thing more than that.
