I think that these commercials are so stupid they are pure class.
If you don't know about the "Pimp My Ride" show on MTV, some of the humor might be lost on you, though.

It's pathetic no matter how you look at it..if they want to humour the consumer by indirectly mocking some MTV gimmick show then they are trying way to hard.

I like the Pimp My Ride ones. It's the ones with the weird head thing and the spooky noises that I hate.

I didn't realize till the other night that that was Slippery Pete from the Frogger episode of Seinfeld.
He's the best....and the worst.
Must be one of those love-it-or-hate-it commercials, anyway. I think all of them are funny.

Of the four (I think) that are currently playing, two are good and two are bad. Frankly I don't think making fun of the demographic that you want to buy your product is a fantastic idea, but I get a kick out of Peter Stormare saying "un-pimp your auto" and "v-dub representing Deutschland" every time.

The guy is pretty good at creepy and you see him everywhere now. He was Lucifer in Constantine, gave Tom Cruise new eyeballs in Minority Report, etc.
Anyway, I've only seen two and I guess those are the good ones because I laughed at both of them. Or maybe I got no taste.

BTW, anybody know where to get one of these little guys? I don't even drive a VW (tho I *used* to drive an Audi), and I'd love to stick one of these on the dash of my Civic, if just for giggles. VW dealerships have 'em in the "team shop"?

Now see I LIKE these commercials; dude's like: "Can't hear the engine with all that YACKIN'!" That was funny. The "V-dub," "on the engineering tip" ones just straight up suck.
