I've been doing pretty well---with on line wagering with the current Anerican "March Madness"---the 64 team annual college basketball tourney.
I've won 9 of 11 bets--but--since i'm only wagering light (just to have some rooting interest in games)---I've won about $140--since i bet about $20 a game)---ANYHOW---checked out the "Soccer---WC" odds---here goes:
BRAZIL --favorite to win--5-2
ENGLAND 5-1
Germany 6-1
These "oddsmakers" in casinos know what they doing. AND--i checked the odds for Germany's opening game vs Costa Rica--
WIN for- Germany -$400 Meaning you must wager $400--to win $100 if Germany wins
TIE--+$400 Meaning if you wager $100 on a draw--& there is a draw--you get back $400.:cool:
WIN for Costa Rica + 950...Meaning if you wager $100 on Costa Rica AND they win---you get a $950 return.:eek:
SOooooo---for all you soccer "savants"---IF you truly feel Costa Rica will TIE--OR BEAT GERMANY----go on line & make a lot of money---of course--if it's all.."hot air".....well.....as thet saying goes--"They don't put their money where there mouth is"---Wotan:)
