What are gas prices like in CA? They're about $2.89/gallon here.

Is that the lowest grade? It varies from place to place. Lowest grade near my house is about $2.89 as well but highest grade is $3.01! I don't live in the rich area of OC so my guess it might be higher in places like Newport Beach or Irvine.

$2.99 last week and $ 3.02 this week. Ridiculous. The jeep gets good gas mileage though.

So I'm at Dickinson College studying some German because there is shite else to do in this town, and this kid comes notices my Newcastle jersey and tells me he's also a Newcastle fan. He actually was, even knew we were in seventh. Random. Anyway, the Toon Army is EVERYWHERE.

Haha that's pretty cool. So how far along are you in your German studies?

Yeah I get comments in Seattle all the time. Most of the time it's some English ex-pats that are just amazed that any Americans follow the EPL.

I have a B.A., now I'm just applying to grad schools for my M.A...and hopefully a PhD.

Oh Zinn, you asked me about a week or so ago what kind of mileage my car gets. 24 MPG city, 31 highway.

Oh, I'm just going over my old German books at their library, i.e. not attending classes but just literally studying.

Well, we got a regular Mr. Smartie Pants in our midst. :D

What do you plan to do with your German degrees?

I have always wanted to be an ambassador or work with International Relations, but that would require a degree in that and to learn a language. The language part could be tough. I could always hope to be sent to England. :D

Right now I'm aiming to be a teacher/professor, but I'm keeping my options open. Basically anything except a translator. Hell, if I get better at speaking German (my weak point) I can just skip the MA/PhD crap and become a flight attendent.

That sounds pretty cool. I also find speaking my foreign language to be the hardest. Writing it I am fine, but speaking is a whole different level.
