Except when it comes in with one of its friends trying to palm it off on one of your mates and then that mate saying he wouldn't go out with her if she was the last woman on earth and even then he'd turn gay. Hence why I'm still up and not in bed.

Ha! Your friend is the man.

He's a bloody idiot. I had to sleep in the spare bedroom last night.:(

Yeah, I heard. If indeed no rape took place, I wonder what exactly prompted the NC Central student to accuse them, other than namecalling and what not.

No clue. I hope all of those people rioting on campus and putting the players' faces on flyers come out and apologize, but I'm sure they won't.

Why would your wife punish you for what your friend said?

Because she is a woman and therefore anything wrong he does is my fault.

Well, the Duke players haven't been completely freed of guilt yet. We'll find out more today.

Fair enough.

What could they possibly charge them with, other than minor offenses like underage consumption and noise violations?

from the article:

"District Attorney Mike Nifong has said he would have other evidence to make his case should the DNA analysis prove inconclusive or fail to match a member of the team."

'"The truth is if you speak to crime lab directors, they will tell you that in only a relatively small number of cases is there any DNA evidence," said Peter Neufeld, co-founder of the Innocence Project.'

I'll seriously laugh my ass off if they continue this case without DNA evidence.

This whole situation looks like it's heading down the Rodney King road unfortunately. I just hope nothing crazy happens in Durham.

Interesting developments in the Duke case. If they are not guilty of rape, it's still a stigma to be accused of that. I think this stigma may have caused the coach's resignation and the season's cancellation.

Note to self: if you want someone fired from his/her job, accuse them of raping you (or actually get raped).

You planning on using this tactic to move up the ladder? ;)

If need be.

I'd like to climb Maria Sharapova's ladder. Did you finally throw down the big bucks for an avatar?

Yep, 15 of my hard earned bones. It was worth it for that avatar though.

Hopefully it won't be censored. After all, she's merely enjoying some tasty fruit. Gotta get that potassium.

No one in their right mind would censor that lovely view.

Have you seen the new World of Warcraft video Mr. toon posted a link to in the video games' section?

Mmmmm, actually, I think the Revolution are closer to my college.

And just for the knowledge, I live in the upper right corner of Tennessee, basically on the borders of both Virginia and North Carolina, so I suppose DC is geographically the closest to me until Atlanta gets a team.
