I'm curious as to the top Central American 1st division salaries, average salaries, and the lowest salaries. Also, what kind of money do players in the 2nd division make? I know that most Carribbean players are part timers, but are there any full time pros? What kind of money do players in those leagues make?

I think they all make less than $400,000 a year

Well, for 4 million USD, Jorge Vergara was able to get Saprissa out of the red. He was able to pay off back taxes and fines on all of their facilities. He was able to pay back wages. He was also able to sign a few players. He also did some minor remodeling to the stadium.

All that with 4 M USD. You can basically retain and sign the countries best players and win a title.

I have always heard that Guatemala's leagues pays the most on the average.

I know in Trinidad, there is an 8 team pro league which may increase to 10 in 2006.Players recieve any where from $400 US - $3,000.00 US a month. The top players also get housing and car.I believe the players are also insured. There are also a lot of imported players from the Caribbean and South America in that league.

Honduras mostly buys players from South America since most of the talent gets picked up by a team abroad.

Highest regular salary in Costa Rica is $10k for Centeno and Gomez.

Wanchope is playing here but his salary is being payed by sponsor companies and not the team. He is earning $30K, but I donīt think it will happen ever again. His contract is only for 6 months.
