how do you rank the current national teams in the world on current form, NOT historically... here is my take on this, remember, CURRENT FORM!

Actually, monkeys did not just fly out of my ass, and Spain/USA are still better than Serbia (though Serbia is underrated).

serbia & montenegro and the usa are both not big football nations, but s&m has some real good players.
look at that :eek:

Kristajic - Schalke04
Stankovic - Inter Milan
Kezman - Atl Madrid
Vucinic - Lecce
Zigic - Belgrad, but next year at a big club!

actually..pretty easily.
And I am not prone to make such statements. The US defense is pretty solid. But, come on folks..it's FIFA rankings. Don't take them too seriously....I know Bruce Arena and US players don't.

Bruce Arena seems doesn't care about this fifa rank, why should the Italian ? well, one of italian players was questioning about the US rank recently.

Exactly...A lot of the American players and Arena have publicly laughed at the rankings.

And US fans...including me. There is no way the US is a top 5 team. They are not better than England and Spain and Germany. That is just ridiculous.

Found out an example, how stupid the ranking is:
August 1996: France 3rd
(then, no WC quali played)
May 1998: France 18th
(then, WC winner)
August 1998: France 2nd
That the FIFA officials stayed at this rating system
shows for me, that there must be a lot of people,
who ... don´t really understand football. ;)

Thanks--:) Wotan(son) (I wanna become an Icelander--I read their citizenship rules---have some literature from the Iceland Embassy--it's so difficult--UNLESS--you're a citizen of one of the other "Nordic" countries (Norway-Sweden, Finland-Denmark)---THEN---it's a lot easier.
