I am agreeing with you... the whole thing is ridiculous. Liverpool has known since late last summer when the fixture was, and sod them being out of Europe, like that should make one bit of difference to anyone except a Liverpool fan (the being out of Europe part -- definitely NOT the Hillsborough incident). I don't see why we are bending over backwards for Liverpool. What about Blackburn fans? Easter weekend is usually complicated enough without having to reschedule your family around a football game three times...

Boycott the match? No. Have Liverpool FC refund everyone's money? Yes. It is ridiculous how long they let this situation develop without rectifying it. If it is so damned important to the organization and/or the fans, red flags should have gone up as soon as the fixture list was released and something could have been done before it even came to this.
Boycotting the match is just silly. It would do nothing for Rovers but penalize them and reward Liverpool when Blackburn are the ones hard done by. However, for those who bought tickets and made plans and all of that I would expect a flood of angry letters to the magazines, the BBC, Sky and Liverpool FC themselves. Liverpool should be ashamed of themselves for letting the situation come to a head so damned close to the actual date.
The one thing I hope this does is get the idiotic kopites who thought that WE were the ones stonewalling the date change to alter their tune. We accomodated them three times and they STILL can't see that it's their club's ineptitude, not BRFC's unwillingness.

Hooray for the Black Cats and their humbling of the red doodles!
Might make the reds a little hungrier on Sunday for second given their schedule as compared to 6 point leaders man u, though.
Liverpool have: (A)Blackburn, (A)West Ham, (H)Aston Villa, (A)Portsmouth
Man U have: (A)Tottenham, (A)Chelsea, (H)M'Brough, (H)Charlton
If Liverpool get all 12, then Man U need six. And you can see the kopites thinking Man U might just get blanked at white hart lane and stamford bridge. Which still leaves it a long shot that they won't win the two home games, but if Sunderland can do it, then why not the others?
I'd really like to see their hopes of auto-qualifying for Champions League done in at Ewood.

For what it's worth, thanks for rescheduling the game. For us, April 15th is better spent remembering the 96 than watching our guys on the pitch.
Best of luck to you guys in your battle for European football next year.
