What do you guys think? Personally, I think its a great idea.

Youth needs to be given its head, and what better oppourtunity. England should be a force to be reckoned with in World Soccer in the coming years, with the emerging talent that they have.

That said, throwing a bunch of youngsters in the deep end may not pay off. I think it would be more successful if he was to bring them in gradually, so they can learn from the experienced players - Sol Campbell, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, etc.

Having raw talent is one thing (which the "Vision of the Future Squad" has) but coupling that talent with a cool head and experience is a totally different issue.

This is great. This is the first time I'm excited about the England NT in a long time. It's time to inject some youth and competition w/in the team. People were getting to complacent because they knew they had a spot. Hopefully the youngsters will put the pressure on the established players to get their act together or step aside for guys that actually can do the job.

I think the way SvG intends to play it is probably the best way at the moment. They get to train with the more experienced players in the England squad, and play with them. However, why not let them play together for a half? After all, they will be the players expected to take over when the older players retire.

If you want to give young players a chance you bring them on a couple of players at a time and surrounded by experienced players. Bringing them all on at once is idiotic. It's like throwning a non-swimmer into the deep end. They flounder around and if you're lucky they'll just survive.

An international friendly is hardly the deep end. Especially as they came on down 2-0 and had nothing to lose.
