He's apparently going to sign a 2 year contract at Club Brugge within the next few days.(he has been training there for a full month)
PSV doesn't seem to be interested in him anymore.

They're saying that he has a funny haircut...

:D

It says his manager will come to Brugge next week to negotiate about a contract. A few guys have seen him play and are impressed with his technical skills and "eye for the game" (he seems to be reading the game very well, seeing openings and where to play the ball). Although someone says Brugge's youthcoach hasn't been satisfied by the way he's been playing so far, but they think it's mainly because he still needs to adjust to their style of play and to life in Belgium in general. (and due to the weather last few months the pitches were really bad)
Looks like he'll stay there 'till the end of the season.

he has talent no doubt, but they compare him as the "new Paolo Guerrero". Chavez has definately more skills but Guerrero has 10x the heart of him.

Not sure if this is that great a move for him

Is the Belgian league > Peruvian league?

I remember watching Belgium play in previous World Cups and good God are they the stiffest guys in the world, they make the Germans look like Brazil. Completely boring and just not very good soccer.

But I guess the fact that he's in Europe will help him move to a better league if he stands out.

Can't help you with that one. I don't think I've ever seen any footage of the Peruvian league...

The Belgian league suffers from a lot of cheap foreign players, old badly looking stadiums and now also the whole situation with fixed matches by betting syndicates from China.
20-25 years ago they had a really strong league and used to pay good money, they lured away a lot of Dutch top players and talents. Nowadays it's the other way around. They kinda missed the boat.

:D

I think they only give 100% when they play Holland...

i say it probably is...

we have had 4 players i think, Cuto, Chemo, Mendoza and Olcese there

the only one to really stand out an dplay for a decent team was Andres

still its probably better for his development to go there at an early age....and get away from the temptations peru has for younger players

btw

I liked belgium in 2002 they pushed brazil..and play good futbol...particularly Marc Wilmots
