For aabout a month now I've been having some serious pain in my knee. Basically, it hurts to touch, bend or straighten a lot, and put much weight on it. It feels like it is in the bone. I don't remember ever injuring it, and the only condition that affects my Knees is Osgood Schlatters. It isn't that though. That usually gives me a sharp pain, but this one isn't sharp. I don't want to go back the the doctor so soon after my shoulder injury, but if I need to then I will.
I'm kind of thinking it might be a stress crack, if that's a real thing in bones. I can walk, and run but not for long periods of time. Please tell me what you think it is. Thank you.

It's hard to give a diagnosis over a soccer board. If you haven't, try taking it easy for a while. If you have been and the pain is not getting better, certainly go see a doctor.

I can't remember what the name of it is, but it might be a condition where the interior side of your knee cap has detiriorated. I remember it said it usually hurt when you put a lot of weight on yours knees, such as going to a set of stairs.

Thanks for this link. This may be what's going on. Whenever I sit down for even short periods of time, and then stand up and walk again it hurts. I'll probably get it checked, and hope that I don't need any operations so close to the season. That would suck.

Thanks for that post. Back in college I had my knees looked at and the Dr. about made me jump off the table to Hong Kong when he moved my knee cap and stuck his thumb under it. I have this PFPS from playing soccer and riding dirt bikes all my life. Too young for surgery so he said to focus on leg extensions and building the muscles around my knees. To give you an idea, normal knee caps rotate or track less than 12 degrees, my left is 27 and right is 29.

I've noticed less pain wearing arch supports and I've built them up over the years. But still, with knee problems, go get them checked out. In fact, I got cracked on my knee cap about 4 weeks ago and immediately experienced a sticky or locking of my knee. Stayed off of it for about 2 weeks and hasn't caused me any problems since.

Get that knee checked out because it could be a number of things. Got a buddy who bruised and sprained his mcl and he described a sharp pain at times and it just doesn't feel right.
