This is a great beer made in Vermont.

I just have to add that any of you who are saying Stella is a great beer really need to get out more. I rate it right up there with Budweiser and cold piss as far as taste goes.. Although it is handy for extinguishing a fire...

That gets a ten out of ten for the name alone. :D

Edit: As for that Mc'Ewans no.1, I've just cracked it open and am not a fan. :(

It says "A very strong dark traditional Scottish Ale with an intense rich flavour, yet surprisingly easy to drink."

Bollocks to that. It's rich after taste is nice and it is quite full-bodied but the initial taste is weird, sort of acidic and it's not for me.

True, but then again I'm not a huge connoseur. If it's wet and contains alcohol I'll generally drink it, hence me not really having a favorite. They're either good or bad with no in between or degrees of tastiness as far as I'm concerned.

Mc'Ewans export, that I haven't had for a long long time was ok if I remember rightly and Scottish and Newcastle (who I think make it) are actually a pretty big brewery over here so it's not all that bad, but yeah not hugely reknowned overall.

Opinions are bad - if you actually like a beer don't say it tastes good - you've got to make sure its cool first.

********off to anyone who doesn't like stella, I quite enjoy it and its for no reason other than the taste.

I also have a thing for indian chics who are a little chunky, I can't explain it either, but I'll be damned if its because I think its cool.

Trust me I couldn't care if it's cool or not... I'm 30 years old married and am comfortable in all aspects of my life... I stopped caring about others opinions a long time ago...It tastes like piss and that's what I feel...

If you like something because it's the new in thing you're a mindless sheep.... Or a Chelsea supporter...

You didn't need to add the part about doing homework. If you're drinking that crap.....you must be a poor college student.

Well good for you (seriously), but I think Stella tastes good and the first time I had it was indeed in England along with a few other beverages I've grown to like - all based on taste and not "newness." Also, funny a married man lecturing someone else on being a mindless sheep :D

Enjoy your stella and I'll drink quality beverages which is both of our rights...

One day you'll wake up and be satisfied with all the things you've done while single and you'll want more from life... That's when you'll change your tune. Trust me I've done everything I could've wanted to before I got married..;)

I've yet to try Steel Reserve. My all time low was definitely the Beast, with Miller High Life following up close. After playing Beirut, or Beer pong as some call it, for a while though, it really doesn't matter anymore.

Steel Reserve is the worst beer I've ever had. I literally had to choke it down. I'll take beast and keystone any day of the week over steel reserve.
