You can get it over here - only beer I've ever seen that comes in 330ml cans. The cheapest of the cheap.

The shamrock in the head thing is only done around now in most places, and generally for tourists - it's not usual practice :)

I guess my New York accent stuck out like a sore thumb in Limerick and Galway...:p

oh, and perkins is the place to go for drunken food. over and out.

Yeah Perkins was actually closer to where I lived senior year, so we'd typically end up there instead of IHOP which involved walking halfway across campus.

I was to busy ducking molotov cocktails and nail bombs thrown by 10 year olds to stay still long enough to get shanked...;)

That's nothing compared to what they did to that man from Nantucket...

Good to see Bord Fáilte's tourism brochures have reached across the pond. I hear they included step-by-step instructions on how to plate your own armour this year.

Anyone here ever had any of the Cooper's beers? It's from Australia. My favorite is the Cooper's Draught.

Stella Artois, Heineken, and Tusker (Kenyan beer).

As far as Canadian beers go, Rickard's Red and Alexander Keith's are my favourites.

I know you can get it in the UK, but I haven't seen it in Canada yet.

EDIT: If you're interested, I found a list of distributors in the US that import Tusker: http://www.eabl.com/eawinner.asp?pcat=DIST&cat=INTERNATIONALD&sid=33

Really wish I could find that clip they showed on The Blizzard of Odd once about Limerick - one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

a couple of my roomates who were in england and scotland this past summer were jizzing over carling, wonder if anyone here could give me a word on whether or not it's worth it.
Carling goes down well. It's not quite as smooth as say Guiness but it does have a nice smoky taste. I like it, and it's fast becoming a cheaper alternative for myself to my preferred Stella or Kronenbourg.

Just in case you didn't get it:
STELLA
KRONENBOURG
CARLING
...in that order :)

PS. I believe it was Carling we drank in that bar before the game Yaj
