You did have a few R&C's!!:D
Got any good plans for the St. Paddy's Day celebration? We're having a party here at the house. Too much of an amateur night, especially when it is on a Friday during Spring Break!
I'm thinking about heading out to Scottsdale for St Paddy's day. A friend of mine has a bunch of tickets for Flogging Molly, which i'm not really that excited about. I've seen them a bunch of times and i'm just not a fan. I was gonna drive out there tomorrow, but right now i'm not really feeling it. We'll see. That reminds me, its time to wash my Ireland jersey.

Barleyjuice. Killer name. R they in the Dropkick Murphy's vein???
More traditional than punk, but they do have pipers in the band. It's pretty sick. Oh, and the whole band wear kilts.

I really dig Flogging Molly, but then again, I'm a big Doc Martens & Guinness kinda guy.

Yeah, that's a major concern among my friends, but there's still a part of me that wants to brave it to go see this band, Barleyjuice (http://barleyjuice.com/), play Tir Na Nog in Philly. They start at 4 PM and play til they drop.
That sounds like fun though. We're having a bunch of friends and neighbors over. Piping the seasonal digital music channel outside, and cooking up some Guinness stew and shepherds pie. Also there will plenty of beer and whiskey!!!!

I'm finally gettin' my shit together and gettin' my photos ready on KodakGallery from London.
This Gooner got plenty pissed after the Liverpool match.
Between the Austrians and the English there was no shortage of drinking buds that night. Four pub stops later and michaec is nice enough to pour me into a cab at 12:30. God bless that man or else I'd still be sleeping in the Finsbury Park station.

The kids I'm not so worried about, as they will just be a crowd. I can't stand the people that never go out, then hit the pub on the big holidays and get ************ drunk and annoying. Lots of "Woooohooooo's!"

I dig 'em too...but if I saw them several times like Anti I'd probably lose interest.
Plus my favorite song of theirs is the one with Lucinda Williams.

Flogging Molly only seem to remind me how good the Pogues were. I like the Dropkick Murphys a little more. I saw them at Warped tour a few years ago and they played TNT by AC/DC. I was psyched, then when i looked around and figured out that no one in the crowd had ever heard that song before, i felt old.

Biggest amateur nights in the US:

2) Halloween
3) St. Patty's Day

Yeah, what's the deal with the Woohooo! shit. Its like these people have never had a frickin drink before. My theory has always been, the stupider you are, the more strongly alcohol affects you.

I know what you mean about the Pogues. Did you see that they're touring the US, with Shane? When I first heard about it, I didn't know that Shane was with them. I saw the ticket prices, and said "Screw it." Then, when I heard that Shane was back with them, I was cursing the fact that I didn't get a ticket.

The Woohoo quotient is directly related to the air temperature. The warmer it is the more and the louder the Woohoo's become.
Phishy...for the love of god man..could you put a larger picture on here?

I seriously doubt that Shane McGowan's performances are worth the price of admission these days. Have you seen that guy lately? he can barely mumble.
