Well since last week's reffing was rained out, this weekend will be my first as a ref. I have 4 games scheduled, 2 Sat and 2 Sun. Should be a lot of fun, I'm just hoping I don't screw up. I doubt I will tho, as I correct the MLS ref's at Red Bull games all the time! :p

Break a leg, Ray.
I happy because I'm going to AC tonight. (I should also post on the Anger Thread because my wife is making me stop at IKEA on the way back.)

I'm happy that I only fill up my gas tank every month or so. You'll never conserve better than me, biyatches!!! ;) I'm with SirManc though, it's the increasing cost of living that's killing me much more than gas prices.
What level/league are you reffing, Ray?

Travel games both days, U11 Girls, U13 Boys, and U15 Boys. Gonna be sweeeeeet. Got all my ref stuff together, it's gonna be good. My g/f is interested in stopping by to watch me in action. I can see the conversation on the sidelines now...
Soccer Mom #1 - "They look like they're having so much fun out there. That's mine in the blue, #11. Which one is yours?"
Ray's g/f - "The gangly one in the yellow with the flag"

Not to argue with this statement but I would figure France, and England (if your counting them) would be more expensive then Ireland... TBH when I was there last April I didn't find things all that expensive but then again I'm a NYer so we're used to being robbed for things...;)
Things have certainly gotten more expensive in Ireland since I moved (1992). A regular house back then would have cost say 70K, now the same house is easily 300K.

Where are you reffing Ray? I might just show up to heckle you! A good friend of mine is one of the more senior refs in CT.

Greenwich and Stamford. What's his name? I know Jesus Zornoza, he was the assessor that taught the ref class.

Cool, I'm in Norwalk. We should meet up some time. Sometimes a few of us play pickup footie in CUmmings Park in Stamford in you're interested. I'm coaching my son's T-Ball team, first game tomorrow. Blasphemy, I know, but 4 years old is too young for footie. Better for him to get it out of his system now :p
The guy I know is Ken Essex, he refs High School games mainly in Fairfield County. Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks! I would be interested in playing a bit sometime, I'm usually in goal, but I can do ok in defence as well.
You should definately head on down to Tigin's in Stamford for a game and a pint or 2 sometime. I'll surely be there for the Middlesbrough game on Monday and possibly the Charton match, assuming I'm not reffing. Definately will be there to watch Barca beat up on Arse too.

I'm still bothered that the Arsenal - Manu BigSoccer fan match didn't happen in NY.

I would definitely not. If a game is announced it comes before anything.

Yes, i distinctly remember everyone (at Nevadas) asking where he was. No one (at Nevadas) could provide a good answer, until we arrived back home (from Nevadas), that we all found out that he didn't make it (to Nevadas) because of a sleep induced resting period.

I thank you both. One question, just for clarification: In what city is Nevada Smiths located?
