Hate to tell you man, but I can't see the Ducks winning that series. Calgary is just the better of the two teams. And it will coem down to goaltending, where although I think Giguere is a fantastic goalie (in the poast-season any ways) Kiprusoff is better. And Calgary's defense is probably the best in the NHL. But this is the playoffs, and the Ducks have surprised me before and it would be dumb to write them off as any thing can happen.
Phaneuf is absolutely insane, what a player. AND HE'S ONLY 20!!! He will win at least 3 Norris Trophies before his career is over. I wish we hadn't tanked the end of the season, we could have ended up #5 and taken on Nashville (and the cold-blooded traitor bastard Paul F**king Kariya) who we owned this season. Oh well it's the playoffs, as they say, to be the best you've got to beat the best. And to me, Calgary is the best defensive team in this tournament, if we can score enough goals to get by them then we have a shot against anyone. Hopefully, we can keep enough of a lid on Iginla to stifle their attack. Looking forward to going up for game 2 on Sunday though, look for me because I'll be the only one in the entire Saddledome not wearing that hideous red Flames jersey.

For the Stanely Cup Finals I would like to see the Calgary Flames vs. New York Rangers. If the Sens make it in I will ********ing kill some body. The devils are out 1st round thanks to Lundqvist and Jagr. This is my Western Conference predictions for the first round: Detroit beats Edmonton (5), Dallas beats Colorado (6), Calagary beats Anaheim (7), San Jose beats Nashville (6).
Eastern Conference: Ottawa beats Tampa Bay (6), Carolina beats Montreal (7), New York Rangers beat New Jersey (7), Philadelphia beats Buffalo (7).

Now Teso. Don't take it literally. I'm sure the Devils will get taken out in 4 straight against New York. Jagr will shelf one in every game against Brodeur. :D

You're the best,
The be-est,
Ain't nothing ever gonna keep you down...
Thought it would accompany your fist-pump nicely.
Way to butcher the tournament montage from Karate Kid.
It's
You're the best a-round,
nothing ever gonna ever keep you down...

Had dinner last night with my new boss and a few others. Gotta say, i doubt i'll EVER go back to corporate America ever again, well not directly. Consulting is a sweet gig. Looks like I may end up in STL for my first official job, working for Nestle helping them with Oracle and shit.
Heading to Mohegan Sun tonight to meet my girl and her friends for her B-Day celebration. With any luck, I'll make some money at the craps table too.
Then tomorrow I'll come back for the Red Bulls game, where we'll play DCU. Tailgating of course is in the mix.
Sunday I'll be performing my first duties as an official referee.
Gotta say, the next few days look pretty good. I'm sure God will come in and screw it up somehow. ;)

I don't know what industry your in, but I have a friend who's uncle is a consultant in civil engineering and makes booza's worth of money and for less work than normal engineers. Although I think he said those type of freelance consulting jobs are becoming less and less as companies hire in-staff consultants or something like that. :(
edit: I guess your computer something.

Yea, that's pretty much how I explain it to people now. I used to go in depth and explain Oracle/OFA/Express, but then people's eyes used to glaze over. So then I just said,
"You know those computer things?"
"Yea."
"Well that's what I do."
"Oh."
It's just easier this way.:)

I fail to see why this is a happy thing.... unless you get to smack him around for those 5 mins.. ;)
Anyway, just got back from Mohegan Sun. Started off the night losing $200 on the 3 card poker table in 20 mins. I took a break and proceeded to drink a lot. Seems that helped, cuz I went to the craps table and won $1,200. Needless to say I'm happy :D
Now I'm off to the Red Bulls game. Hoping for a victory over DC!

It could be Jimmy effing Carter for all I care, meeting a President is a hell of an honor IMO. Meeting with a sitting one makes it all the more sweet. It also helps that I'm a registered Republican and supported Bush in the last two elections.

A Republican in Orange County? Do flying Zima bottles and Starbucks cups hurt when they hit you?

WTF is Zima? And OC is solidly Republican, probably the most red area in California.
