We're only 1 month away from our home opener.

I've finished by 1941 2-pole banner and I'm going to be working on a few poorly constructed flags or banners.

I plan on bringing 8-10 people along with me, though I bet only 4 or so stand in 137. Anyway, it should be a great tailgate and a nice afternoon game under the sun in beautiful columbus.

Is anyone else working on banners or visual stuff for the opener? Who else is coming and bringing friends into 137?

I was thinking about posting flyers around campus to help recruit for Crewsmas. We need to make sure that we get as many as possible because Sh!tcago always travels sso well.

That's a great idea. Or maybe you could use sidewalk chalk.

I know it's still a month away, but what time should the tailgate kickoff and are we still planning on going under the trees?

A bake sale would be nice.

How else do you expect me to pay for kegs?

I would ask Crew to pay for the usage of said image. It's funny how they use 137 in ad campaigns, but do nothing but have them chasing after their own tails in terms of real progress.

The reverse of every ticket probably says something about your attendence at any game gives them the right to use your image in any way they want. At least I think that's how it works.

edit: yep, just checked the stub from the last sporting event I attended (Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas) and it says, "Holder gives permission for the filming and use of his/her image without compensation or approval." That's how it works these days.

Then what about the time they used a picture of my friends and I from BW3 on the front of the website? Surely I could be collecting royalties from that...

Of course. I am already tanning for the occasion.

It won't be a the home opener, but it should be in KC on the 1st. I'm working on it right now. It's a 4'x6' flag that uses that Gadsden flag as a base. I like it beacuse it involves the rattlesnake idea that the nats are using but retains our gold and black. So, since having an American flag with writing on it won't work, I thought I'd try this: (this is the design that I'm working off of)

I thought about adding the crosses to each side, but I don't have time to get that done before the 1st and I thought that it might be a bit too "busy" with those as well.

That flag is pimp! Would be great as a HUGE flag/banner going over all of the North End!

Today, I just signed a lease to live directly next to Crew Stadium. I have an unobstructed view of the west side of the stadium from the second floor window of my house. I'll have a short/simple walk to get to the stadium for all the late-night World Cup viewing parties. I'm trying to buy the house even though it's next to the train tracks.

World Cup viewing parties aren't going to be held late at night. The time difference is 6 hours (they're 6 hours later then here). So if there is a 1pm kick-off, you can catch the game live at 7am. So a 9pm kick-off would be on TV at 3pm. So if you don't have a job, you'll be able to go to plenty of viewing parties, otherwise I'm going to suggest a TiVo type device.

would it be possible to have the snake wrapping itself around the cross? basically, the snake wouldnt need to move, just add the cross in there...

just a thought.

not without completely doing the ting from scratch. As it is, I've purchased a Gadsden flag and am stitching the "V-ARMY" and "1941" to it. Maybe in the future we can invest in something custom made like that, but this is all I can do on a relatively small budget.
