Not looking for anything formal, but it would be rather cool to get together and toss a few back at a local SAV soccer friendly pub or eatery with some other DC fans. Hopefully we could catch one of the United games on TV, and support the team's drive for both the MLS Championship and Gold Cup this year.

I live five miles up Highway 17, next to the new Kroger's.

I know the place you are talking about in Richmond Hill. I assume you mean Tequila Sunrise over by the Food Lion and Blockbuster...

Hey, I will toss a few back with you at that place game day or otherwise. They have good beer in big glasses at cheap prices.

I PM'd you my other idea of Pepinos in the Ogalthorpe Mall in Savannah. Sounds like that might work good for the game day meetings if we can round up some more characters. The food and drink there are good too, and like you said, it is a good place for non soccer-inclined spouses to spend time too. (Not to mention easier to find parking than the downtown area)

There is a fair sized bar area in that resturant that is usually wide open. I know the owner is a futbol fan, and he already will have the World Cup games on later for us to cheer for the USMT. I would be surprised if he would not love the idea of us meeting at his establishment to watch the DCU games. I would also be surprised if we do not create a few new DC fans over time.

It is just another reason I love DC United, in that it is one of the few MLS teams that you would see this sort of thing happen. It reminds me of my other team's (Celtic) fans.

SavannahFan and I got together for the first Savannah area viewing party. It was an exciting time full of changing diapers and letting wives meet each other so they have someone to talk to during future matches.s

Next viewing party likely in two weeks after Rich gets back from overseas.

Likely locations are one of our two houses, a mexican pub in the Savannah Mall, or Tequilla Sunrise in Richmond Hill.

Our second viewing party of the year is tonight at mi casa for the Reserves match. Right now we have at least 3 coming, maybe 4.

Maybe our goal should be 10 for MLS Cup.
