what kind of a review is that.
Did you see Barbara Mori naked or not?
I'm not sure if the top of her crack counts as nudity.

Saw "State of Fear" last night.
I can talk about this from many angles, but let me just say, it is worth the time to see it.
Easy to see why gringos are impressed, but it is not "groundbreaking" if you followed the news over the years. Even with the human element, it has to come from a point of view and this movie is very slanted.

Review the terrorism in Peru, and the manner in which Fujimori won the war but used the terror to stay in power..,then the downfall and aftermath.
It looks back to real events in real places 20 years later. Touching about all aspects of the issue. The added "second feature" was the "Montesinos Media Buy" with some classic ValdiVideos.

Must be a different one, estado de miedo...state of fear...indy flick.
Unrated but includes mature subject matter and war violence. In English and Spanish, subtitled.
Pamela Yates' riveting film is a primer on the indiscriminate political violence instigated by the Maoist "Shining Path" guerrillas and the overreaching government counterattacks that killed 70,000 Peruvians between 1980 and 2000.
Yates is an admirably thorough reporter, interviewing historians documenting the era for Peru's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, soldiers, "Shining Path" revolutionaries, victims of both the terrorists and army torturers, and elected officials from the corrupt and autocratic regime of Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori. "State of Fear" presents a lucid, evenhanded look at the dangers that face democracy and the rule of law in an unending cycle of terrorism and counterterrorism. This is a film not to be missed....

I keep hearing good things about this movie. I'm just waiting for the "free" version ;) unless is already "out".. I have to check when I get home.
Anyways, last weekend I went to see American Dreamz (gone to the movies two weekends in a row, new record for me) and I must say, it wasn't bad. Satirical movies can be very funny and this one made me laugh. 8/10.

It's pretty much based on a true story. The jailhouse did exist. Check it out. Good movie.

Saw Hostel over the weekend. What can I say, sick Tarantino movie. It was ok, what I guess made it more interesting was that the main star was a latino. I'd recommend it if your into sick movies. Looking forward to Goal, and also this is coming in the summer?

I like how the movie showed the insides of Newcastle United. Too bad Nobby was with Aston Villa when they shot this movie. Regardless England does look like a fun place. I've heard this too.
THere might be one more Peruano going to jolly ol' england once I graduate.

Saw it this weekend. It's allright. SPORTS MOVIE, so the shots and goals are not gonna be really realistic, but a good movie overall. I enjoyed the whole Newcastle scenery as a city. The town and castles around the beach coast. Apparently, it rains like a mofo' over there.
St. James' Park is a hell of a stadium. Loved the structure of it.
