absolute magic, Trey and Matt have been on some run. The genius of SP is that it gets better with age, unlike many other animated shows.

Simpsons have been going strong for something like 15+ seasons now.... so you must be talking about Grape Ape and Jabberjaw

The Simpsons and Family Guy for two.
And it's not about going strong, I talked about "getting better". The Simpsons had seven fantastic seasons but started to slip and I think it's very evident in the newer episodes. I can safely say the same for Family Guy, or maybe their formula has been so worn out that it just seems like it's not getting any better.
@Achtung - remember when we said we'll stick around for Lost no matter what, well last night's episode justifies that. :D

Those are still funny to me. (Expecting Teso to say I am easily pleased or Sirmanc to say well thats my level of so and so)
As simple as the shows are, they are still hilarious.

Yeah absolutely... they're definitely ending this season with a bang (or two). I just wish it had been more even throughout, but I'll take it now.
And FWIW, I think The Simpsons did peak around 95-98, then fell off considerably, but has been on a revival the past couple of seasons. Supposedly since Fox cancelled Futurama, Matt Groening has been focused more on The Simpsons.

To me, the Simpsons are still strong, but they're certainly not better. South Park, on the other hand, is much much better now that it's ever been before. I've never been interested in it until the past year or so -- I think the Walmart and the Katrina/global warming episodes were the first really clever ones.

The only shows that I really was into used to be Friends and The Mole. Friends are over and I have no idea why The Mole is not coming back - it was by far the best reality show of all.
Now it's all about '24' and Lost, other shows just don't make the cut.

That David Blaine guy actually made me switch the channels a few times during '24'. 8 minutes under water - not bad, probably would've done 9 without all the chains.

are you actually convinced he did this? I for one am not buying it, he's pulled other tricks like this before, he's just an arrogant show off, nothing to laud about.
24 on the other hand was great.

24 on the other hand was great.
I was kinda hoping the president would grow a pair, rat out Nerdy McBald and the Bluetoothgeeks, then casually mount a large portion of his brains on the wall across the room. Ah well, great episode nonetheless.
Previews for next week.
Is that the president torturing Aaron???
Is it humanly possible for CTU to transport a prisoner without them escaping or getting killed?
Come on Jack, you have everything you need from Robocop... just kill him in a way that is both painful and entertaining.
