So, seriously who do you take in a battle between a tag team of Superman and Spiderman vs. Jack Bauer all tied up without being able to move?

i think the only superhero who has a shot at Bauer is Batman.

Depends if Jack Bauer is his real size or mini... if he's mini I give S&S a better chance, but they'll still lose.

The real question is who would win in a fight Jack Bauer vs Vidic ????

They would reveal they love each other so much, they'd make out, then sleep together before realizing they're too gay for their reputation and they end up killing each other.

I like[ed] Lost, was hooked the entire first season. This season, the writing has been very inconsistent and every week one more thing would add up to annoy me. however I'm sticking to it til the end because from what's been built up, the ending should be something entirely extraordinary or completely laughable.

I don't think the ending will come in the next few years - the show is way too popular for that. They are about to release "Lost" online game...

Reality shows suck ass. I'll watch Survivor when there actually is only one person who survives.

The Amazing Race is no typical reality show though. The destinations are more the stars than the teams really, and no one gets arbitrarily voted off. You get to the pitstop last, you're gone, simple as. Definitely one of the more original shows on television.

Grey's Anatomy had so much potential the first season, but its since become another hokey "who's sleeping with whom" soap opera. Meredith is a slut, we get it. I'm sick of hearing her bitch about how awful life is when you're a good-looking, well-paid medical intern with an Ivy League education and trust fund. Stopped watching it a few weeks ago.

I share SirManc's sentiments on Lost. Gripping, compelling stuff the first season. Now it just seems like the writers are trying to milk it for all its worth, introducing a bunch of random crap that I'm almost sure they haven't thought out properly. Still, I'm sticking with it.

In fairness, I only watched it a couple of times, but it bugs the shit out of me. My canadian stepdad loves it though -- thinks it's all the worst stereotypes of Americans acted out all over the world. I agree with you about the criteria for leaving though -- they have maybe the fairest system in reality tv.

I do like the Bravo reality shows though: Project Runway, Top Chef. Because the people are actually DOING something involving skill and talent. Amazing Race: Carry a huge fish up the street in Rome. Project Runway: Design and sew a functional dress with materials purchased at the supermarket for $50. Hmmmm.

Hahaha. We don't speak of Saskatchewan in Toronto. It's just kind of...there. They don't have any real sports teams aside from the Roughriders (CFL). Although the show Corner Gas (Canadian show) is based around a town in Saskatchewan. Thus leading back into television.

And that's really the only thing to do in Regina -- watch pointy ball and talk about Henry "F-ing" Burris.

Canada has some good TV shows. Corner Gas is solid. I am really suprised that Trailer Park Boys hasn't been picked up in the US. It's my favorite Canadian TV show. Frickin hilarious.

I gotta say, the only problem I really have with that show is her. Why is it that in every scene it looks like she's gonna cry? Her eyes have some sort of tear duct malfunction or something!

The wife watches it. I tried a few times but it's pure tripe. I'm usually watching my TiVo'd EPL Review at that time on Sunday nights. Sunday nights... kids in bed by 8:30. Sopranos at 9. Tivo'd EPL review at 10. Fast forward through the Mourinho/Wenger bits. Let the dog out and then off to bed. There ya go. Not a bad Sunday night.

I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed with The Sentinel.

for me Inside Man was the better film...

or is this in the wrong place? a movie thread around anywhere?

Of course, I think, technically, the TV thread is for discussing Jack Bauer and the movie thread is for discussing relationships, so whatever.

Anyone seen the show "Yo Momma" on MTV that is hosted by Wilmer Valderamma? Crappiest show around but damn if it isn't funny for all the wrong reasons.
