Speaking of NASCAR, did anyone watch the Daytona 500?

Is this Top Gear on US TV or do I have to download it?

I saw the last three laps. Typical Daytona crash at the end, helluva finish though. I liked the one driver crossing the finish line while upside down and on fire. :D

NASCAR is the poor man's F1. F1's my fav, coming up soon in March!

F1 has been getting worse and worse over the years. It was fun when we had Schumacher/Hill duels, or Schumacher/Villneuve (sp?). Also, it was fun when there was Good Year/BridgeStone competition going, strategy was extremely important, fun starts, finishes, plenty of passes... Now the races are just getting boring - no close finishes, the entire race you may see 1 or 2 passes, cars are spread out.
They should race on Daytona-Type tracks all the time. When you are in 30th place, 1 second behind the leader - now that is fun. :D

I have to disagree with you that the races are getting boring. Last season was quite exciting, especially towards the end when Schumi has some chances to catch up to Alonso's point total.

Plus, not that Schumi is out, I think the field opens up a bit. Sure Alonso is still there, but his move to McLaren might be ill suited, being that McLaren's reliability last season absolutely sucked big donkey balls.

I'm sure this season brings a few new players to the table, who will make the championship a lot closer.

You won't enjoy visiting me then, if that's the time you're expecting me to show you. I only know two of the guys from the show Laguna Beach, and I never see them anyway so it doesn't matter. And I won't set foot in Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza unless I'm dead, then you can drag my lifeless carcass in there. So there, don't bother.

Although for anyone who watches The Real Desperate Housewives of Orange County on Bravo, my boy Shane Keough was a good friend of mine in high school. So that's kind of cool, although that show portrays him as more of a jerk than he really was.
