Because it's crap and nothing gets resolved. At all.

I officially hate JJ Abrams. That said, the show has sucked me in and I want some resolution. Not that I expect to ever get any.

I could have saved you about three years worth of wasted Wednesday evenings if you had just listened to me.

I gotta say, Eko was my 2nd favorite character on the show after Locke, so I am pretty pissed at the writers. I don't know what they are thinking, but the new "characters" that were introduced in this episode seem to be extremely uninteresting.
I hope they are not implying that the "monster" aka puff of smoke was Eko's brother.

Now, really there are only 2 interesting people left on the island - Locke and Desmond.

"Lost" is officially in danger of losing all of its accumulated goodwill this season. It was okay not to reveal too much when the show was just about the survivors from the front of the plane. Now they've added (and then subtracted) the Tailies and added the Others and added more questions about all three groups and have answered none. The only good part of the new season for me so far was the Others' view of the plane crash. Nothing else has been satisfactory.

"The Nine" has been good so far and they seemed in last week's episode (I haven't watched this week's yet) that they need to give us more than one minute of bank flashbacks per show. The sustainability of the show really depends on how much the audience ends up caring about the characters. It has to be enough to keep people interested once we know everything about what happened in the bank. Its making good progress on this so far.

"The Wire" is the best show on television and has been since its debut.

The US version of "The Office" came into its own last season and can no longer be reasonably compared to the excellent original version. Don't watch it because you loved the original, watch it because you love intelligent sitcoms (oxymoron?).

I anticipate abuse for this but I have to admit that "Ugly Betty" is very funny. (Plus, Betty's sister is kinda hot.)

I've gotten hooked on both "Heroes" and "Jericho". As with "Lost", these series depend on the revelations to come.

I also recommend "Dexter" on Showtime.

Finally, as a public service, I must mention that the only way for me to watch all these shows (and more) is through the wonder that is my DVR. Every television junkie should have one.

The Wire has absolutely been the best show on tv for quite some time now.. The best part about it is my On Demand is updating with the following weeks episode every Monday so I'm a week ahead of the regular viewers...

I have to agree with you about Dextert as well.. That show is definitely interesting in a sick type of way.. I'm fascinated with the search for the Ice Truck Killer.

I must highly recommend Weeds. The characters on that show are some of the most disturbed humans on TV and the story line is always going to leave you saying I can't believe how ********ed up they are...

Anyojne who hasn't seen Friday Night Lights is missing out on a great hour of tV.

I'd also like to highly endorse House and NCIS...

Let me finish by saying that the DVR is the greatest invention in the history of mankind...

Haven't seen that yet, but I did watch "Weeds" when I was visiting my brother last weekend, and I enjoyed that one.

Or two. ;) It's useful for soccer, especially.

I actually have two. :o I still haven't figured out how to maximize my recording power and end up with a lot of duplication.

The way I look at it is 1 for me and 1 for the wife. That way Oprah, all the dancing and singing shows, as well as Grey's Anatomy stay out of my view permanently...

You've got to make sure they don't poison your mind with that shit...;)

So I guess you don't want to talk about who you're rooting for on "ANTM"?

I don't want to gloat mate, but I've finished season 4 of the Wire nearly 2 weeks ago. I couldn't wait because it was so good, and ended up torrenting the entire thing. They've been online in good quality for almost 2 months now, which amazed me. But you are absolutely correct, there is no better show on television than The Wire. Everything is as visceral as it gets, and this season has to be my favorite, barring the first one.

I've read that season 5's main topic will be the media, and is also the final season of the show.

Another HBO favorite of mine has to be Entourage..
